which teams would be stupid enough to trade for these players:

wiggins
sporn
prenda
morrell
davies
mcgrath
johnson

Pagan should just delist them now instead of getting carltons fans hopes up
that we will actually get something for them.

Lets be realistic here, these guys struggle to get a game in the worst team in
the AFL. Furthermore, when they do get a game, they are below average.

Denis should just delist them now, because surely there is not a recruting officer out there who would be stupid enough to draft these guys.

Wiggins and sporn are absolutely classless, and are 'A' grade hacks.

Morrell presents well and may be retained
prenda tries hard, they only give him 30 minutes a game to prove himself.. a lil unfair IMO
Johnson gets the ball, but no skills ( bentick retained instead)
Davies can go walkabout again.. but this time i hope he doesnt find his way back.

Comments on these guys... PLEASE DONT BE FOOLED, WE WILL NOT GET ANYTHING AT TRADE WEEK FOR THESE GUYS

I don't think anyone has ever suggested that those players have any trade value.............simply because they don't.

Bit harsh on Cory McGrath, i'd retain him
Diggers will be a good honest depth player for us
and I'm a sucker for Davies who has talent - need to give one more chance

Bannister should be added to your delistments

Therefore Delist
Bannister
Bowyer - Retired
Clarke
Johnson
Prendergast
Sporn
Wiggins

The reason why these players are being kept on teh list so far as they won't all be delisted and it will depend on other trades on who we keep.
Frankly I want to keep Sporn for anotehr year as he has a bad run with injuries and deserves on more year.
Morell could be kept if Whitnall goes but will definitely be axed if he stays.
McGrath will be kept for another year as he gives us some depth --> possibly the same with Johnson tho less likely
Wiggins and Prenda should be delisted but might be kept due to contract lengths (even though I hope not!!!)
And as for DAvies well a part of me wants him to stay but another part wants him to go. Consistnancy is a big issue.

All these players can also be used as trade sweetners for deals involing Whitnall and Lappin.

I disagree to some point. Some players actually play better in better sides. Caracella, Blumfield, Fiora just to name a few. Most of those players got found out in ordinary sides, whereas in a good side they can run forward of the ball. It's always harder getting kicks in terrible sides.

I'm not saying they'll be stars for St Kilda for instance, but they could have value playing bit roles in better sides.

A few of those can't be delisted as they are contracted for next year.

Just because theyre contracted doesn't mean we can't delist them. We need to pay out their contacts if we do delist them but heck I'd rather do that then leave duds such as Prenda on our list for another year.

That money still has to go in the TPP & that isn't unlimited, nor are the club's finances.

Thats true but with the salary cap room we are freeing up through the trades of Lance, Lappin, Campo's contact halved then imo we can afford to pay off a few of these duds to make room for youngsters who would be on a base salary anyway

everyone wants to delist him , trade this person , get rid of this person....

Am i deluded.... I dont think our team is as bad as everyone makes out....

Sure we finished bottom but we have a young side like Hawthorn and they are bound to turn over, get bodied out etc.....

give em time....

I rate some of the players you wish to delist like prenda , morell, davies....

Theey need time....

The draft is shallow. The supposed "stars" available in trade week are all signing on (ie power, salopek etc)

so what will you get by delisting and trading our young players ? Other hacks and young players who cant play.... so lets just keep what we have..... Remeber the bullants finished in the top 2 in the VFL...... and played finals on the backs of the players people are wanting delisted

Last time i looked yes we are that bad, hard decisions have to be made, and the only way forward is by cutting out these bit players, we would never win a flag with the list we have got.

I'd keep Cory McGrath.

I think Sporn has some trade value - not in his own right, but in combinatoin with something else. He has had a lot of injuries, and I reckon there's a fiar chance that at least one club would punt on him.

Although I am not sure I would do it I think the club probably would keep Morell if we trade Whitnall. He surprised me a bit in one or two games this year - but I agree that he doesnt produce anywhere near often enough.
