Pretty simple really, would you rather give up pick 1 for Kreuzer or pick 37 for Goldstein

Goldstein has had the better career so I voted him, but Kruezer's was hugely damaged by injury. His injuries robbed him of his full development as a player.
Reckon he could have been top shelf.

Todd Goldstein isnt that great either, he was enormous in 2015 but by 2017 North fans were calling for him to be droppee earlier in the season.

Theres are rucks who would have been more worthy as a number 1 pick, such as Max Gawn or even Brodie Grundy, both who will be better than Kruez & Goldy.

Ask me in 5 years time.....Kreuzer is just hitting his peak years as a ruckman now.

Goldstein is 29, Kreuzer is 28. With their injury record I’d be backing Goldstein to be around longer. Unless Kreuzer pulls his finger out and has an incredible finish to his career, which I doubt considering the poor lad can’t play through injury and seems to be made of paper. That’s without considering how far off the top teams Carlton are as a club. Kreuzer will be retired by the time Carlton have the talent around him.

Goldstein on the other hand has proved to be durable, already an AA and there’s a good chance he’ll leave North at the end of this year as a FA to go to a top side.

This is the prime example why the smart clubs stopped using top picks on ruckman.
