AFL Club
Collingwood
**** me we lost a game not the end of the world, we lost a game so what. My point is here is sure we all love the club and it can be hard to watch us lose but you have to take the good with the bad we had one bad night, we will get better. Delisting half the playing list and sacking Bucks is just crap that is not going to move the club forward.

Now that a bit of time has passed hopefully the angry masses have taken a deep breath and put down their pitchforks.

Rome wasn't built in a day, rebuilds don't happen overnight and sometimes every damn thing goes wrong.

I care. I paid good money to see these guys play.

Not value for money at the moment.

I ****ing care!!!

I love my club, I hate what is happening to it currently, I paid $500+ in memberships this year and travel an hr to get to every match in Melbourne this year (unlike the club I don't shit money)!

FFS it shows just how apathetic we've become when our season is on the line, we rolled over and the response is "who cares". It's the attitude of a ****ing loser! I expect them to show some heart, care as much as I did to get off my arse and watch that debacle to the end.

I understand the sentiment and it's sound, but don't for a second hide behind the not caring rubbish.

Me too - I pay a lot for reserved seating and this year has been bittersweet as the last thing I feel like doing is going to the MCG and watching them play the worst brand of footy I've seen them play for some time. Worse than 04-05 I'd say.

Mind you, we stuck with the coach then. We should stick with the coach now.

At least Bucks was still flying the flag - “When I say we're still not out of it, I mean it because we can still win our last two games,” he said. “We're not going to just crawl meekly into the corner and not compete. We've got a game against GWS next week and we'll play.” (http://www.theage.com.au/afl/afl-news/buckley-has-never-known-a-game-like-this-20140817-104zt9.html)

Finish the season, let the air out and start the assault on 2015 in November.

I am a loyal, passionate fan but I have been disturbed by our performances this year. Forget the win loss ratio and injuries. I'm talking about the way we play. I have never seen a Collingwood team play such unattractive, stodgy, slow, unskilled football. Why others are not disturbed by this bewilders me. Before our injury curse hit last night, the Lions were all over us with their over lap run and kicking. They are a very young team yet they play with flair and dare.

I have never felt so flat or bored watching my Pies than during this miserable year and as I said on another thread, that includes wooden spoon years.

Does that make me disloyal or pessimistic? I got my Collingwood tattoo the year we finished last-1999. I've stuck through thick and thin. I just don't feel as optimistic as some about our future.

Did you miss the (Un)Shaw years?

I care,
My most memorable games, sat at Moorabbin when it was pouring rain and getting walloped by St.Kilda, Optus Oval getting walloped by Fiztroy (raining that day too if I remember correctly) and MCG when the fans booed Tony Shaw.
Still, every year I renew my membership for myself, daughter and grand-daughter (even through the later MM years after promising myself I wouldn't).

The loss has honestly alleviated much of my stress. I can now focus on the future(which is bright) seeing as we can't make finals and knowing that this year is purely a development year.

Although i wouldn't have said it last night, i'm still happy with the direction of the club.

PIES PREMIERS 2016!

I could never hate on this club.
They have given me the most enjoyment in my life over the past few years.
I remember waking up on any game day so excited , traveling to the game talking with happy , excited pies fans.
Everyone of you who are having a crack at the club, whether it be the players or bucks, pull ya heads in. This is the youngest Collingwood side ever, we cant expect them to come good over night.
What i do know is that those times that we had a few years ago are not far away again, stick tight, we will come good again, starting from 2015.

Obviously we all care, and care a lot, or we wouldn't be here. It's why it hurts so friggen much.

I think often supporters care more than the players and I don't think that's unusual - they're young, it's what they do week after week, whereas many of us have been invested for decades, since before this current crop was even born! And have endured years of heartbreak and broken dreams ( along with the most incredible highs) depending on being around in 1990 or not!

Most would cut off a finger to be out there, even for just one game, in front of the Pies army playing for the Black and Whites.

Are you kidding? The Shaw years were a football feast compared to the past three-and I am a Buckley defender. I remember games under Shaw when we played the most exhilarating attacking footy and posted very high scores on a regular basis. I remember a we were 8 wins and 1 loss under Shaw (in 1998 I think) and we were playing sensational footy before we fell in a heap. I am not referring to win loss ratios-I'm talking about the style of footy we played. Do you recall the Friday night game against Melbourne (when they were up and about) and the Rocca brothers tore them apart and we kicked 20 odd goals? Those were the days!

Here's a sample. There were better games than this but this will do.

I have the same memories-that shouldn't make the club immune from criticism and it doesn't make those who choose to criticize aspects of the club disloyal or band wagon supporters. Some could say the lack of questioning or criticism of poor performances by some supporters is an indication that they don't care as much or hurt as deeply when we lose. That's just another way of looking at things.

How may years under Shaw did we play finals?

Very Well Said.

We do care but people can say some very stupid things after a loss
