Who gets Judd?

Looking forward to this weeks clash with the eagles. Must say that i think we are a great chance but there is 1 man standing between us and six straight wins.
My Queston is who gets Judd?

Of our taggers Bartram is too young and thin at this stage. He has been going great guns but Judd is just too big an ask at this stage. He said Chapman was too strong for him so i don't thnk they will give him Judd. think he will get Cousins though.
To play Simon Godfrey on Judd would be like jumping of the Westgate.. suicide. Although it could mean the end of his career which would be a positive.

IMO the job has to go to Cam Bruce. Has had tagging jobs in the past and will be able to hurt Judd on the rebound by kicking goals. judd will have to pay Bruce respect or he will hurt the eagles. If Judd got Bartram or Godfrey he could do what he wants.

Another out of left field may be to go head to head with TJ.

I think Bruce will get the job though.

Bruce, as it will make Judd at least slightly accountable.

Gofrey has zero awareness and football brain, therefore Judd will carve him up.
I'd give Bartram a quarter on him, but we don't want to shatter his confidence if Judd gets 40+ possessions on him. He's a good kid, but not ready for Judd.

McDonland on Judd could work, but then Junior will play a totally negative role and we'll lose out. He's been playing really well, getting a lot of valuable clearances for us, I'd hate to see that go to waste.

Bruce can run all day, is accountable but will also create some damage.
Good match-up I think.

I wouldn't tag anyone else.

I hope they give Bartram a go. Either way he'll rack up his 30 possies and kick a couple of goals. There aint much you can do about it.

Bruce or Johnstone, Judds going to hurt us whether we tag him or not so put someone on him to make him accountable.

As silly as it sounds we don't want to put too many resources into just stopping Judd, West Coast haven't got to where they are by having a one man midfield. Plus nobody except Davey would have the genuine pace to go with him at the crucial stoppages.

Other players such as: Kerr, Braun, Stenglien, Fletcher, Cousins, Selwood, Chick and Embley are more than capable of carving us up, so we shouldn't become too Judd or negating centric.

We should focus on our own strengths whilst maintaining a strong sense of accountabilty and discipline when the Weagles have the ball.

I dont think we should worry about Judd either, he did sweet FA against us last year, he will dominate this year so i think TJ should go on him as he is in great form atm and could do just as much damage as Judd if he has a good day. I'd go with Johnstone - Judd, McDonald - Kerr, Bruce - Embley, someone else on Kerr, someone else on Stenglein, someone else on Braun... i aint watching it

Stenglein will go to Bruce, you can bet on that. I'd be happy for Bruce to go to Judd like he did last year and run off him like he does to Hird. We won't be able to completely blanket Judd but to have Bruce running the other way and hurting Judd should help us a bit.
Bartram to tag Cousins, and if Wheatley is fit put him on Embley, if he isn't fit then give Bell a crack. McLean can go head to head with Kerr and I would say Selwood would tag TJ. Braun could slip under our guard but Fletcher worries me the least as his disposal isn't that great under pressure so if we keep tackling and putting on pressure like we have he shouldn't be that much of a problem.
I'm actually worried about their forwardline. Whelan should be able to do the job on Chick but Lynch and Hansen have been in good form and add Staker to that and Miller will have to go back, which means Hunter to Dunn and I know Dunn won't be intimidated as Hunter likes to niggle a lot but he is also a very good CHB and Dunn may struggle.
Anyway, they have to match up on the rest of our forwards, and Chick may go back to do the job on Yze. I will be interested to see who Wirrpanda takes as we should play through that player at every opportunity because as good as Wirrpanda is he is a sh*t actual defender.

Thanks Polly, i think we are a good chance this week. We have had some good performances over there and are in pretty decent form ATM
