Where Premiership dreams are made...
AFL Club
Hawthorn
Other Teams
Man U, Canucks and 49ers
Looks like they have unearthed another ripper. In nearly a full team of Blues stars against half a Hawks side, Sam Walsh sent the Tankers faithful into erectile joy by getting a few touches, making a tackle stick and showing up a few of his navy blue witches-hat teammates.

So when careers end, who is your choice of the greatest Carltank number 1 pick? It's tough - they've had a few...

It's hard to say but it's fair to say they would have been better players at other clubs.Carlton has ruined these players by overplaying them too early.

Imagine being the best young talent, ready to make a name for yourself and getting picked by Carlton it would be soul destroying.

Gibbs, Murphy, Kreuzer and Weitering all started out that way too. The issue will be can he avoid being dragged into the Carlton black hole of wasting talent

What a train wreck Weitering has been. Zac Dawson-like in his impact as a KPP
Carlton friend loves him but thinks he's the softest KPP seen in Carlton colours. Runs off the ground screaming for the doctor if he gets a mozzie bite.

They have one good KPD - Marchbank. Jones is mediocre but looks spectacular doing it.

Carlton's best players were not no 1 picks. Docherty (sadly), Cripps and Curnow are head and shoulders above the rest. Marc Murphy is ok but about as inspiring as homebrand white bread.

I agree. On a mongrel scale Weitering is a -2. Need be a competitive animal to play that position. Might end up being another Jack Watts.

Docherty is a huge loss. I hope he gets back to his pre-injury form.

Lambs to the slaughter. I can't watch.

This might your best work to date, not that it would too difficult to top, but yes, your best work.

You mention Murphy but not Simpson?
