Performance based crossed with potential. If it were only potential then you'd only add Walker.

Thornton > Waite > Walker > Norman > Fisher/Bentick/Davies

Nothing at all good about him?

well he's 23 next year so he aint that young ...

he's just not got a perfect position in afl ... he's too short for the ruck (as he's got a super leap), not strong enough to hold down a kp (yet).

id love to see him bulk up over summer and maybe play as a fb??? (or am i dreaming????) .... i know pagan likes him and will give him every chance.

in saying this he may still be delisted too???

Andrew Walker will be the best. On careers to date Waite would be the best, and the most important is Thornton at the moment.
Karl Norman will end up being high on the list as well.

potential - andrew walker

however, in saying that, i also believe that players such as thornton, norman, fisher, waite etc all have huge talent in different areas on the game

great lot of youngesters we have

Would everyone agree, Thornton is our best to date? 5th in best and fairest, over 50 games already and holding together the backline. I can't think of a classier key defender in the league. :)

Just need one more decent backman!

Relatively unseen in his 2 years at Carlton, but i rate Kade Simpson quite highly. He has a lovely left foot and decent pace.

He has no confidence what so ever when he plays senior footy, but i think this is due to the fact that he is far too skinny. When he fills out he will be a great footy player

With Thornton at Full-Back, he won't express his footy at a high level.

norman is quick and reads the play pretty well and has good skills ... he could play chb!

but hopefully thornton will move out there, livo will hold fb and morell and norman will be other talls in defence.

I fear the future of our defense if we are going to rely on Livingston at FB.

Either we have to find a good prospect at FB in the form of a young hopeful or stick Thornton at FB with Norman at CHB where he has been excellent this year in an attacking role. I for one think that Norman is a more attacking player than Thornton... both of them on a CHB line would be nice, but we need at least one tall, big bodied kid back there who can negate someone like Gehrig.

Agreed Thrawn. Hopefully Livo can hold down a key back position for us, but in reality anything he successfully achieves next year is a bonus.
