well a few years ago saints went in light due to salary cap restrictions and 07 was the first year the AFL paid for rookies and they are now included in a formulae to give salary cap relief for teams that take a fullish quota of rookies.

I think perhaps as with callaghan and ferguson we may redraft players still under contract if they aren't picked up, such as watts and mcqualter.

Sampi? No thanks. Has talent, but has been fat and lazy for the past few years, and would need a major attitude adjustment to warrant taking a punt on him. We don't need another problem child.
