In truth Ablett was captain alone for a lot of 1995 due to injury to the other players. Anyone who perpetuates the "Captain's curse" bollocks can check the 122 goals he kicked, 3rd Coleman medal, plus captaining Victoria to victory in State or Origin the same year.
