With 2017 looming as another major development year, and 12 players who are yet to make their senior debuts, I think it is fair to say we will see plenty play their first AFL game next season.

Who will make their senior debut?

Let's also see if anyone can predict how many games the above-listed players will play this year. Interested also in hearing the reasons behind your selections.

Sam Petrevski-Seton:
Harry McKay:
Zac Fisher:
Harrison Macreadie:
Cameron Polson:
Tom Williamson:
Jarrod Pickett:
Patrick Kerr:
Jesse Glass-McCasker:
Kym LeBois:
Andrew Gallucci:
Matt Korcheck:

I'll drop my responses into the above later.

Sam Petrevski-Seton: Rd 1. 15-20 games
Harry McKay: Rd 1. 15-20 games
Zac Fisher: Rd 1. 15-20 games
Harrison Macreadie: after round 12. 6-8 games
Cameron Polson: Rd 1. 15-20 games
Tom Williamson: maybe 1-2 late in year. 2018 is his go
Jarrod Pickett: after mid year. 6-8 games
Patrick Kerr: see Williamson
Jesse Glass-McCasker: see Williamson
Kym LeBois: Rd 1. 10-15 games
Andrew Gallucci: maybe late in year
Matt Korcheck: maybe late in year

All about development but I'm very hopeful on all of them [emoji6]

+1. Can't argue with that. I think the likes of SPS, Poulson fisher and debois are going to get a really good run at this year. Think the bigger boys may take a little longer.
If Harry McKay shows anything at all I think he too will get an extended run at it at the expense of Levi.

Korchek, JGM, Macreadie, Kerr, LeBois and Gallucci are unlikely to see games next year.
Largely development years for the talls.

Williamson & Polson a chance, form/injuries dependent.

SPS will play as many as he's up to playing.
Pickett if fit and firing could play plenty
Fisher will get opportunities, maybe later in the year.
McKay? Let's say 10 games, but a round 1 start could have him playing more.

I think JGM will make it, but any senior games next year is unlikely. SPS, Harry, Fisher, Pickett and Polly are my pick at this stage.

Injuries permitting, all of them.

When we're far off finals, it strikes me as a particularly lousy thing not to play all 45 kids on the list at least once over 22 rounds. After all, that's what they bust a gut for over the preseason and every kid has a Grandma Viv anticipating their first game eagerly.

Don't think that number of players ever happens, even for a team in our situation. Injuries and players who just aren't ready will limit how many play.

I think most of the senior listed guys will get a gig, with maybe Macreadie and/or Kerr focussing on 2018. The rookies might get a look in after we nominate one midway through the season, but other than that, it should be just standard competition for spots throughout the year.

Agree.

Macreadie is very lean, Williamson is still 17, again no size yet.

We've got 27 players with less than 50 games, so who knows?

Speaking of, can anyone provide a player list with age/height/weight/games.

Footywire hasn't been updated.

Sam Petrevski-Seton and Jarrod Pickett will most likely debut around the first few rounds. Heading towards the bye will probably see Zac Fisher and Harry McKay. Harrison Macreadie in the last couple of games for the season.

Think Andrew Gallucci would be next in line whenever a senior listed player gets an LTI. He most likely could see a game in the second half of the season.

SPS: 19 games - debut Rd 1 - gun, will play when fit. Might get 1 or 2 rests & a couple niggles. I'd say rising star winner but he plays for us ;)

Harry: 16g - Rd 1 - couple of rests thrown in with one trip to Northern to snag a few and get confidence.

Zac: 16g - Rd 1 - Simmo junior, have high hopes for him.

Macreadie: 6g - Rd 6 - can definitely see him getting a few games, especially if one of Weitering or Marchbank gets trialled up front.

Polson: 10g - Rd 3 - a late bargain in a spot that is up for grabs, can see him surprising a few next year.

Tom: 5g - Rd 13 - gets a few games second half of the season. Silky looking left footer.

Pickett: 11g - Rd 9 - plays when fit, possibly similar to Sumner's year last season.

Kerr: 0 - development year.

JGM: 0 - development year or no reason to rookie Silvagni.

Kym: 4g - Rd 16 - another left footer who looks silky, might get a late taste for it. Highlights packages can be manipulated into anything, his looks just a bit special though.

Gallucci: 2g - Rd 19 - couple games late in season to see if he's worth keeping.

Korcheck: 0 - one more development year, next year will be big for him.

Sam Petrevski-Seton and Jarrod Pickett will most likely debut around the first few rounds.

Only question on that is will be fit enough? Missed a lot of footy and at the moment is unfit. Even with hard work you don't want to rush him and make it worse. Needs miles in the legs. Good solid pre season then build up to a mid year debut would be the smart route

SPS: Highly likely he debuts in round one and goes on to play 10-15 games. Will not get pushed to the limit and will be put in cotton wool later in the year.

Pickett: Seems to be tracking well with the foot recovery and has shed a few kilos already. Early season debut and plays as many as his body holds up for. Easily best 22.

McKay: Hopefully he's in the team come round 1 but it's unlikely for mine. 10-15 games for big Harry this year.

Fisher: Round 4 debut. Plays less than 10 games.

LeBois: Think he goes past Gallucci and is a little ahead of Polson at this stage having played some SANFL. Think he will play a handful of games.

Polson/Macreadie/Gallucci: Chances to debut later in the year.

Williamson/Kerr: No games this year.

JGM/Korcheck: Highly unlikely to debut.

Sam Petrevski-Seton: Rd 1. 18.. games--.cant wait to see SPS at work!..will be rested at northern.
Harry McKay: Rd 3.. 10 games---conservative with H.....plenty of time.
Zac Fisher: Rd 14... 6 games...plenty of time to bulk up with northern.
Cameron Polson: Rd 15 5.. games...apparently he has not played in a while, however if he is popular,he will fit...plenty of time.
Jarrod Pickett: Rd 6...15 games...cant wait to see this man at work.!

Bolts will be trying ,as was his policy in 2016, to win as many games as possible.
It wasnt magic we won 7 games...we played off our defence a lot and waited for the opposition to open up,and some of them did.
We will see again most of the seniors being used and draftees will only be applied to the mix if they are earning that exposure at AFL level..give or take a bit.

Sam Petrevski-Seton: 14+ Like most indigenous kids, they are generally more adept to playing early on, will be a seamless transition
Harry McKay: 14+ Have always rated Harry, will be the surprise packet of this group if his body is healthy
Zac Fisher: 10+ Still amazes me, that a kid of his stature could have such a consistent impact at WAFL level
Harrison Macreadie: 3-5 Needs to put on some size, but should debut after the break
Cameron Polson: 12+ Body ready, with great speed, elusive and footy IQ
Tom Williamson: 3-5 Needs to put on some size, but should debut after the break
Jarrod Pickett: 9+ Club will be cautious given his injury, if he is ready, will play 14+
Patrick Kerr: 2-5 His size won't hold him back, love the way he plays the game, could surprise by playing more games

Unless there are changes to the Rookie rules and or a LTI, don't see the guys below playing in 2017

Jesse Glass-McCasker: 2-4 I still believe he will make it, has all the attributes, most importantly aggression
Kym LeBois: 3-6 Extremely talented, believe he will also make the grade, 2018 will be his year
Andrew Gallucci:2-4 With the number of small forwards/midfielders, doubt he will play many games
Matt Korcheck: 1-3 Don't have much confidence in his ability to make it at the highest level

We had the 11 in 2016, driven a bit by the newcomers from other Clubs:

http://www.blueseum.org/Debuts+2015+to+2019

This year we obviously have 6 draftees, for the first time for some time, plus McKay, with newcomers from other CLubs in SilvagniA, Marchbank, Palmer, Smedts all likely to feature. Note Pickett hasn't actually played for the Giants so his will be a Carlton debut.

You'd have to think there will be 10 at least!

I woud have been far more confident of JGM making it if SOS hadn't gone for more defenders. It might indicate that they're concerned about his long term future.
