Gilbee, Hargarves and Higgins At least one of these will not play you would think and possibly all 3. Anyone got any inside info?

Higgin is as much chance of playing as the AFL endorsing swine flu masks in club colours. Hey there an idea stay infection free at the game and support you club :D

Coon Dog are talking about Higgins playing or the AFL marketing department. If Higgins has any soreness I would rest him untill after the break to ensure he ready for seceond half of the season. As for the AFL marketing department expect the masks in stores within the week :)

I have to say how unlucky is Tim Callan. Boy I would be spewing. 1 game and your out. How are you suppose to prove that your any good if your in and out after one game. I have no problems with the INS.

Higgins I think will not play
Gilbee I think will play
Hargrave I think will play

Gilbee's bruised heel/ankle could come up but Higgins groin is a much dicier prospect. I would say Gilbee will play and Higgins will not. You don't nurse a player through games with a sore groin, you rest them and when they are ready you give them another week to make sure it's right - just like a hammy.
No idea with Hargrave.

I for one hope that missy doesn't play. Watching him the past couple of weeks he clearly isnt right.... Short term pain, long term gain.

Apologies if it's been posted elsewhere.

Bulldogs pair in race to play

The Dogs fly out for Canberra late Friday morning and will have a light run at the venue in the afternoon.

One emergency will travel, with the results of fitness tests for Gilbee and Higgins to determine who.

Wasn't there some mail on here that Hargrave was in severe doubt as well?

I can't see why Harbrow was dropped. He'll surely be the inclusion for one of the three.

Neither can I to be honest, first I've heard of Hargrave... Anyone else shed some light on this one?

Well since their only taking one emergency, looks like two of Hargrave, Higgins and Gilbee will play. Unless they are going to pull someone out the crowed to play. :D

Can't wait to see Crouch go up to Aker before the first bounce, kiss him on the ear and tell him he looks beautiful

Crouch is a shell of the player he was and Aker is in Brownlow form.

He is also playing more as a leading forward than onball so it is not a real tagging role which is all Crouch has ever been able to do.

Funny, it was exactly the role Crouch played last week and where his career began, in the back pocket.

He has often been a rebound player with a good kick as well as a tagger so I think the one dimension player insult was not warranted.

but your correct he has crossed his peak.

Good to see Gilbee reach his 150th :thumbsu:, well done to him.

Also great to see Higgins playing, wonder what his role will be now, given his injury. Possibly a permanent forward pocket role?

Edit: just noticed Tiller is named at HF. Wonder if he will start there and play as that leading Forward. I wouldn't mind trying it out to see how it goes, given our backline seems reasonally comfortable without Tiller there.
