Look I'm an avid Saints supporter and if someone has a family issue fair enough - however I doubt we have really heard the 'Real' story why Craig Starcevich has resigned.

I'm sceptical that it is a coincidence that 2 days after Nic went down ( & Lyons pulled all players off the ground straight after) that Craig then decided to resign.

Sheldon may have chosen his words very well, however his comment that they will get another person however with "different skill sets" I think says it all.

I trust their parting agreement did not have a confidentiality clause in it...if it did'nt then we should see a swift response from Craig to 'snuff out" this thread. If it did, then we will not hear his story.

All the best Craig

He's been in brisbane since xmas so it's unlikely Riewoldt's injury had anything to do with it.

Yeah, well if that is correct Fred then fair enough.

However, not sure about your workplace, however if I you were responsible for the fitness of an elite group of athletes and under 'new management' then surely the situation where you are not around for +7 weeks would have raised some alarm bells before now - I think something would have been said or done before now. Why this week, why not last week or previous? Also, what fitness program have they been running at Saints and under whos guidelines??...obviously not the guy appointed to do so.

It just seems odd.

i am sure it raised the alarm bells, however, it has been kept out of the public ears until now.

the fitness probem that the saints have been running under has been from starcevich. with andrew weller taking over since xmas.

After all the injuries you guys have had over the last few years especially before he got there I doubt he would have jumped because of this.

All I can say for you guys is good ridance to him. I have from previous threads spoken about his time at Brisbane and why he was out the door there. His depature I reckon is a blessing in disguise

Nic's hamstring hasn't anything to do with the fitness staff. He seems to always push himself without thinking about various consequences and maybe he needs to maybe talk to Nathan Buckley, Harvey etc on how to preserve his body and peak at the right time.

The injuries didn't disappear last season but we did suffer less hamstring and other soft tissue than previous seasons.

He came with an excellent reputation but provided we sign a good replacement I don't see this as a massive blow.

I think you might be reading a little bit into this Cardio but none of us will really know.

On the subject of injuries, it looks like Gardiner will miss the NAB Cup after suffering a hernia. At least he has completed a significant proportion of the pre-season so shouldn't be miles behind when the season starts. And this is precisely the reason why the club recruited Doc Clarke anyway.

However just to end this thread on a good note, the club posted another $1 million profit while Thommo, Max and Aussie were all made life members.

OMG Seriously dude. This place continues to amaze how ignorant people are in this crazy world we live in.

Did you really believe that we would NEVER suffer another injury because we changed fitness staff?

Contact Sport buddy. Its a part of the game.

SpInNer,

I think you have lost the thread - it had nothing to do with the fact that football is a contact sport!!. Read the start and then comment
