Sorry Bombers. Just been reading your posts on Bradley. Can't help but feel you need to look again at the young man. He is a huge boy with enormous potentiol, just simply is not developing at the rate demanded by the blood luster on here. I think he'll make a great key defender, probably full back after fletch and michael move on, but am just curious as to what atrocitie he has actually committed other than not being a superstar of thre comp from day 1.?.?.?

Bolton on the other hand... ... ...

kepler hasn't the potential that you may think, he is a severly limited footballer.

His greatest attributes are his workrate and nose for the footy. Unfortunatly all his hard work usually is undone after he finds the footy.

i blame sheedy, playing hima s kpp defender last year now he has lost all confidence, was a gun in his first year

That describes Jobe too unfortunately

sorry to say he will never be a gun... he doesnt seem to have the coordination of a AFL player. he has already played close to 50 games hasnt he? like 36 games or something from memory? thats a fair lot of experience and still cant play anywhere near AFL level IMO

He's a big bloke, he'll take time to develop. Some of us have a perchance to judge quickly because we've been burnt a few time by the likes of Bolton and Henneman. He'll never be Adam Goodes, but given time and confidence he'll develop into a handy player. Paitence is required.

You want him ? Could we trade him for Simmonds and a case of Crowns?

I think this is an eye-opener for all of us... let us never sink to the low that this Richmond era has fallen to. They've become deluded, thinking all young players are good.

Good luck to all Richmond supporters getting their sanity back :thumbsu:

I think we all know that Kepler is played out of position. Will never be a backman. Best spot for him is wing/ half foward. Could be dangerous with his size drifting into the forward line.
His confidence has been shattered in the last 2 years playing on the monster forwards of the competition. Play him in the correct position for a time and then make a decision on him.

funny thing is kepler has no sense of smell (true fact), as much as i would like him to become a valueable player for us he has terrible decision making abilities and kicks like he is from collingwood

kepler cannot play backline. he can be pinched in the ruck only as a last option. he is too big and slow and needs to trim down and get some run into his legs. his disposal is shocking cause he has lost all confidence. needs to be able to run and try and turn himself into a wing/half forward other wise he is really going to struggle. at the moment he is not afl standard.

as for bolton we all no he is no good but was not our worst. did a ok job on swan and was only played because he would have been fresh. i think that is the only position bolton can play were he tags a half back all biggish midfielder. should only be selected on match ups basis only. as for this week i personally cant find one.

the other worry is dyson. was has he done to deserve to keep his spot so far this season. has not been able to find the ball. although he is quick he doesnt use his speed defensively with tackles like the other guys.. needs to go back to bendigo. i think it wouldnt be a bad idea to try him of half back at bendigo and see if he can use his run and disposal. does not find the ball enough in the midfield for me. not in the seniors anyway.

He hasn't got any touch either, his vision is poor, he doesn't hear the word "hot" { true facts } Does he have any sense ?

For the amount of game time he got on Wednesday he got it plenty of times and used it well. I'm not sure why he isn't used more but more game time = more touches = more confidence for Dyson. Shouldn't be dropped at a crucial period in his career where he is trying to keep his spot.

You could almost guarantee that Dyson, if delisted by Essendon this year, would be picked up by another club. He's a talent, and I would rather him flourish with us than somewhere else.

I think its more frustration rather than anger. At pick 6 you should get a good player, with Bradley, he's looking more like a spud than star.

I dont see the anger at Dyson to be warranted, he has a much bigger upside. Im not sure that Kepler does.

he's a confidence player without any - but as a last option tall back, he beats joel reynolds anyday!

If he gets a good run of games at half forward, he'll be able to use his talent to run onto the ball and make the play. I seriously hope he doesn't play seniors again this year without some strong form behind him, and plays the same position at AFL level

Dyson deserves more vitriol, he's clearly got the tools to be an AFL player with his speed and that lovely raking left-foot kick, but doesn't seem to want it enough.

I can tell you Kepler's upside, he's 199cm and only turns 22 in November. Everyone knows talls take time, is Kepler not tall? Fair enough he's looked terrible at times but that's because he played more games at AFL level rather than in the VFL and which meant his development has been rushed to an extent.

I also wanted to point out that Bradley isn't that slow. That probably his greatest strength. He might look gangly and uncoordinated at times but he is more agile than most players his size and he is definitely quicker.

His decision making, as we all know, is his main problem but I'm positive the coaching staff know this and will do everything they can to improve it.

Talls take time people, be patient.

He is slow off the mark compared to CHF's/ CHB's.. His speed would only be a strength if he was a good ruckman but he is not really.

I don't understand all of the anger directed at Kepler Bradley either.

He was one of Collingwood's best players last week :D

He reminds me of a young Kevin Walsh, awkward, unskilled and overrated. Likely to be one of Sheedy's love children like Walshy, Brian Winton, Ian McMullin, Ryan O'Connor, Aaron Henneman, Ben Doolan and these days Courtney Johns(Is he the second coming of the big Rhino?):D

Bradley has always frustrated me. When we are steaming down the field he will mark and run back 30 meters stop the flow of the play. When he does kick the ball it only goes a few meters (if that) in front of the place he took the mark.

The kick on Wednesday just highlights the lack of foot smarts he has.
