1. Tw has already made excuses about travelling interstate. It gives the players an out by whinging BEFORE the game about having to travel

2 We haven't won two in a row for nearly two years

3 I have already heard three players talking about the Carlton game and the 100k at the G etc. That game is after this one. Too many focussing on the Carlton game.

4 Any other side would have beaten us last week. We haven't played well for nearly a month.

Go Tiges!!!

Would love to shut up Chocco once and for all. Still haven't forgotten that they beat us a few years ago and didn't sing the song because they didn't think it was much of an achievement. They were probably right, but I do not like Port and hope we flog them.

Struggle to agree with those points.
I can see many reasons why we'd win this week against Port.

They aren't exactly playing well, and have had a poor season.
Combine that with Mark William's constant whinging and moaning, and it appears that we have a side in disarray. They are concentrating on playing mind games and other silliness, rather than trying to win football matches.

A great opportunity for the surpreme tactician Wallace to expose some of the gaping holes in the Port arcenary.
He will show Williams how it's done on SA soil

Well done to TW and the coaching team for staying focused on the task at hand :thumbsu:

Surely you can come up with some good news. I am sick of reading everything you say. Just go away gee. Bigfooty would be better without you.

What will it take to get you to start "supporting" another club?
You win. How much do you want?

Good grief.

Go Tigers

We'll continue the port power tradition this week

Once again, just more baseless personal attacks.

Any danger of you addressing any of the very valid points I raised rather than simply attacking the snag??

I will.

1. I agree. This wasn't good from Wallace, he shouldn't have brought it up. Of course he can't bring it up after, if we lose, because it sounds like sour grapes. That really only leaves one option if he wants to have a whinge about it.....

2. Fairly irrelevent I would have thought, doesn't mean we can't win.

3. Good point. Carlton game is in two weeks, and could prove a distraction. Then again, AFL players are professionals, and would prepare for each upcoming game in ways we couldn't even imagine. Their conscious focus would be on travelling to AMMI, but their unconscious maybe focused on Carlton, especially with all the hype.

4. We were VERY lucky to get out of jail. 4 QUARTERS and nothing less will get us over the line against Port. If we play the way we did during the 2nd quarter for the whole game, we can beat anyone in the AFL. If not, we will struggle to be competetive against Port, who are actually below us on the ladder. 4 quarters of competetive footy is what's required.

5. Port Adelaide may drop Justin Westhoff
AAP | June 17, 2008 02:33pm

PORT Adelaide are considering demoting Justin Westhoff to the SANFL to help the young forward regain some of the confidence he has plainly lost.

The Power's struggles to replicate their eye-catching form of last year can be seen in microcosm through Westhoff, who came from nowhere in mid-2007 to establish himself as one of the more exciting forward options to emerge at the Power.

His spindly frame did not prevent Westhoff from earning respect across the AFL for his poise, touch and considerable football smarts, and it was thought that with another pre-season under his belt the youngster would continue to flourish this year.

However, Westhoff has been unable to reproduce anything like that form on a consistent basis so far, kicking only 8.11 in 12 games as opposed to 34.14 in 16 last year. article continues...

PS Why do we need reasons to convince ourselves (or the sausage roll/troll) that we can win. In the week prior to the game who would have thought to come up with 4 or 5 convincing reasons we could beat Freo? No one. But we did.

Am I missing something when so-called supporters post negative threads such as this?

At last, someone who has actually given a thoughful response and actually agreed with some things I said rather than launching another predictable personal attack on the snag!

Let's hope they are all "on" for Port and not just Carlton.

I think it will be a good game. Last chance for Port and we need to build on last week.

So what, if Wallace whinged about travelling? I doubt he brought it up to the players, he was doing media and the players would take little notice to it.

Who were the players talking about the Carlton game sausage? You gotta at least give more than "I heard 3 players talking about it"

On foxtel before the game Johnston did a big promo on it and actually had the jumper to show.I know, I know, he isn't even playing but he is the captain. Richo also mentioned it after the game as did Nathen Brown.

Three very senior players who the others would take a lead from.

Did not know that.

If we win should do the same thing :thumbsu:
