1 - Senior group of players showed no leadership or did nothing for the first three quarters. ie Pickett, Grant, Colbert, Martyn, Harvey, etc.

2 - Umpiring enough said.

3 - Pagan was outcoached by Thompson. ie long bomb to try and break flood.

4 - Inability to kick easy goals in the last quarter.

5 - Basically piss poor attitude from senior players for the first three quarters.

Hi phatandphreaky, it seems you are a Geelong supporter posting on the Kangaroos board, which is terrific, but if you don't want to see North supporters talking about how we lost it or complaining about the umpires, then look or post elsewhere.

Of course Geelong deserves credit for their game, but wouldn't you be better placed posting oon the Cats board? Like supporters universally, we all grumble when we get the wrong end of the deal and look for reasons including our own player performance.

On the free kick count, if it had have been 18 to 9 North's way and the Cats had gone down narrowly, I wouldn't be on the Cats board trying to talk up North's performance. In my view this type of imbalance does influence the outcome in a tight game. Umpire inconsistency is a blight on the game.

I respect your opinion, you're fair and balanced.

But no, i don't think i should be posting on the GFC board.

I shall post wherever i see fit.

If i see something i disagree with i will reply, i couldn't care less which forum this occurs on.

BTW If people can't deal with differing views then they shouldn't bother reading.

phatandphreaky, I enjoy your input and would encourage it, is is always good to get others views...but from where I was I sitting, we just played wortried really hard to loose last night and we sit from

PS. In My Opinion Choopys comments in the original post were spot on...

All i said was that Geelong should have been given some credit for WINNING the game. Nothing more.

They deserve credit for flooding at the end and keeping their lead. We played 3 quarters of some of the worst football I have seen in a very long time

So did we, we played awful football but we were more desperate and more intense then the Roos.

from all reports....we played crap and geelong took advantage of it, and in hte end it was one team wanted it more than the other....unfortunately it wasn't us who came out on top

Far enough phatandphreaky...maybe ur right, but if i were you, i wouldn't ask for much credit...it loked like our seconds playing last night. Take what credit u think u deserve and feed on it.

We shall take credit for the WIN and the 4 points that go along with it.

Originality personified.

If you're going to TRY to belittle me at least make an attempt to be original, if not humourous

North fans, we had a good run from the umps last night for once. I'll readily admit that.

But. We got very few goals from frees. Most of the frees were in the midfield.

You had your chance to win it and blew it. Shannon Grant x2 and Archer also missed one. You had your chance and didn't take it so don't go blaming the umps for the loss.
