My personal list for 2008:
Mario Kart
IGN
Speaks for itself really. Will have online play.

Boom Blox
IGN
Made in collaboration with Spielberg. I recommend that you check out the videos, the physics looks spot-on and the gameplay looks fun, addictive and endless, supplying hours of replay value. Wi-Fi enables you to create and send or download other player maps.

Disaster: Day of Crisis
IGN
Looks pretty promising. Is an action/survival game and looks reasonably unique and interesting. Has been delayed for a long time which could be a blessing in disguise - a better game. Also a Wii exclusive.

Red Steel 2
IGN
Not totally confirmed. The first game had the right idea, yet it didn't translate so well. It can only improve.

Pro Evolution 2008
IGN
Should be a cracker of a game. Player control was always limited on previous gen consoles, as well as the PS3 and X-BOX 360, but now with the I.R sensing, there are so many possibilities. Also contains online.

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed
IGN
Star Wars. Not usually my cup of tea, but with the Wii remote it seems oh so irresistible. If using the 'Force' to throw players around using rag-doll physics interests you, imagine using the remote as a light-saber.

Brothers In Arms: Double Time
IGN
Lets face it, there isn't any good 'real' shooters out there. CoD 3 was pretty lousy and Medal of Honor: Heroes 2 was/is a failure due to the removal of online play and a short campaign mode. Brothers In Arms: Double Time combines the last 2 Brothers In Arms games together, resulting in over 30 missions, and likely to have multi-player split screen. Out in less than 5 weeks.

Top Spin Tennis
IGN
I believe, that along side with bowling, that tennis was the best experience on Wii Sports. Could you imagine playing with real players, up to 4 players, actually having control of where you move your player and the game registering spin, slice and power with the remote? I sure can, and I can't wait.

Heres some speculative titles, although very likely coming to the Wii.
Call of Duty 5
IGN
Call of Duty 4 was massive. I really couldn't expect too much less from CoD 5. Hopefully there will be online play, and seems reasonably likely.

James Bond 007
IGN
Everyone remembers how good James Bond was on the Nintendo 64. It is being tackled by Treyarch, the developers of the Call of Duty series.

Tom Clancy's Rainbow 6: Vegas 2
Unlikely, but it hasn't been dismissed by the developers or producers.

It looks as though it isn't going to be such a bad year after all. Expect to have a few gems rolling in by mid-year.
Thanks for reading my preview and feel free to post upcoming games your'e interested in. ;)

You could've just posted that on my thread :p.
I'm looking forward to alot of games on my list(in the other thread).

I know i'm getting:
Mario Kart Wii
TNA iMPACT
Rock Band(Number 1 game, not getting any others until then)
Top Spin
Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

Others I might get(depends on the reviews):
Bully(Pretty much Candis Canem Edit but for Wii)
Pro Evolution Soccer
Sega Superstar Tennis
Brothers in Arms
Manhunt 2
Red Steel 2
Wii Fit
Kung Fu Panda :D

I was originally posting it in your thread but when i finished i decided it was pretty big and deserved a thread of its own.
Forgot about Manhunt 2, i probably won't buy it though.
I don't have too much money to throw around so i might just give SSBB a miss.

Pffft, what sort of crappy lists are these? Where in the hell is Tales of Symphonia: Dawn a New World (it mightn't make an 08 release so I'll give you all the benefit of the doubt).

Not strictly 08, but:

Zack and Wiki (critically acclaimed adventure game)*
No More Heroes (awesome looking game aimed at a mature audience)*
Possibly Bully and Battalion Wars 2
Pro Evo Soccer (looks amazing)*
Baroque depending on reviews
Possibly FF:CC (where is FF:CB ?)
DEFINITELY Fire Emblem*
Possibly Trauma Centre
Mario Kart Wii*
Fragile (although that release date seems waaaay off)*

Skimming through the second list:

Top Spin Tennis*
Red Steel 2 (don't expect it for a while)
Super Smash Brothers Brawl*
Okami*
Disaster: Day of Crisis*
Final Fantasy Crystal Bearers (can't wait - love my RPGs)*
Kid Icarus (which is no more than a rumour at this stage)*
Wii Fit
Guitar Hero 4

And not to mention, the sequel to the greatest game of all time:
Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of a New World (as I said, love RPGs )*
And also, Fatal Frame 4 - the newest title in arguably the scariest horror franchise in history

So that's 20+ games on my radar (+ some not mentioned on the list). I doubt if we'll see a large number of those before 09, but of that list, I would say 13 are definite purchases at this stage (*), depending on how well they turn out.

Sorry for trying. RPGs are boring anyway, hence there exclusion from my list.

Why? I though it looked addicting, new and fun. Sure it seems 'happy' and childish in a way, but who gives a rat's ass.
It seems like a game for babies and would boore the shit out of anyone who plays it. Not to mention it will probably be $100 for something you finish in half an hour.

Well, according to IGN, it looks like it'll be a quality title. Doubt I'll get it myself, but it's one to look out for.

Well seeing it already has over 300 levels, an endless amount of levels you can make, downloadable content and multiplayer, I think it might last just a little bit longer than 30 minutes.
