Yeah, right now a lot of aspects of the game are being rewritten including some new player ratings which wouldn't be compatible with earlier versions of the game. This means I probably won't be putting out a 2004 season update until I have created a new version of the whole game (which mentioned above wouldn't be until next year).
For the time being I could possibly just create new team lists with the trades of the current players in the game ie not include rookie players just yet.
This obviously couldn't be done until the trade week and drafting period is over.

anyway afl season is over now time for cricket
also are u able to fix the couple of bugs in the game? coz they spoil an otherwise amazing game
i'd say its up there wif management games u buy in a shop for 60+ smackaroonies
may i ask is there any chance of a in game screen like the one in CM4 (championship manager 4)
is there a possibility of adding that in with the current text commentary which i lurve also

I haven't actually played CM4 but I think I have an idea of the sort of thing you are talking about. In the next version I'm planning on having two view modes while paying the game. One would be like it currently is in Footy Fanatic by showing the team structure but the other one would be more like a 'radar' showing where the players actually are. The graphics would not be anything special but would just show the ball and players (represented as dots) moving around. Commentary will be HEAPS better as well.

Ok walk on down and face someone that is bowling the ball at 130 KPH+.
Cricket is a great game and harder then people think.
I think ODI cricket, 2 good teams playing each other is probably more exciting then a normal season AFL match but tests...are not.

thats the exact same as CM4 FF so sounds great
CM4 is great coz that aspect of the game is soooo realistic so if yours is half as good ill be happy

Footy Fanatic just keeps getting better and better. Pity the bugs **** it up sometimes. Create a player is a great feature but sometimes when you create a player it ****s up the game for you

I know this is a bit picky but in the current version of the game their are lots of spelling errors in the commentary. One example I can think of is "They've rushed it threw for a behind" when it should be "through". Also sometimes 'too' is used in place of 'to'. There other mistakes but they don't spring to mind. Otherwise the game is great and this is the only problem I have with it so obviously it's close to flawless.

that brings to mind a typo in TAR where Nathan Brown of melbourne is spelt Nathan Browne
anyway we are only being picky these two games are up amound some of the classic manager title which are made by huge companies

Are you going to fix the ruckman problem, unless it is just me, ruckmen seemed to be overpowered and get 40 odd touches a game. It seems to me the problem is that they can hit out to themself and the other ruckman can rove their hit outs too, they also seem to cover too much ground.

I thought I had already looked into this and fixed it but it still obviously needs work.
The in-game and sim games are generated the same way so are you finding that it's ruckmen who are leading all the disposal catergories as well?
I know when I've been testing the latest version the ruckmen don't have that problem so you can be ensured this won't be a problem when that one comes out.

I would say you would find this a fair bit better than what you've got at the moment.
