Did he actually pay out his condition or just say something about his son?

I wonder how Minson would of ended up had Chad been playing. And how many weeks would get?

Wow you sound like you were there and know what was said.......... Give me a break no one knows anything that was said and are all just jumping at what the media has writen, or even who started the sledge! At least Will has got balls to say he crossed the line and apologized... If it was all Wills talking then Port would have defended Chad so much!!!!will minson has gone WAY to far in sledging kane cornes.to talk about his son who has a heart condition is a dog act.you have lost any respect you think you had.
Chad? I think you mean KaneWow you sound like you were there and know what was said.......... Just let him know hes a shit footballer and call him the DOG that he is Minson hasn't earn't the right to sledge.Mate, you are obviously a desk-bound chutney ferret who has never played football. If I took to heart half the things that have been said to me on the footy field, I'd be a neurotic nutbag. Or follow Fremantle.
Football is a physical game, but the battle is also mental. Things are said to gain an edge over an opponent - sometimes they work (Des Headland anyone?). It's how players respond to it that is a true reflection of character. Cornes had a few choices he could have made:
1. Laugh it off and go about his business - he does know how to play the game after all.
2. Show some agression. Maybe not the best idea against big Will as he could pop off his head like a ripe grape.
3. Come up with some kind of rejoinder: "Hey Will, is is true that you and Robert Murphy like to balance balls - on each other's chin?
The point is, Cornes went to water. A sign of weakness that truly tough players wouldn't show. So if you like your sport devoid of any aggro/expression, bugger off and watch soemthing else. Like gay kite flying. Footy doesn't need you.
Just let him know hes a shit footballer and call him the DOG that he is Minson hasn't earn't the right to sledge.
"119" seems alot easier.
Just let him know hes a shit footballer and call him the DOG that he is Minson hasn't earn't the right to sledge.
Exactly right.

Sledging happens when you play footy. Personal issues like this and the Hedland one should not be brought into the spotlight. It is both ugly and unnecessary
I remeber some of the things I said when I was playing in the amateur league. They were very hurtful and I regret them. Then again I remember what has been said to me. I remember having to play on the man who broke my fathers ribs and gave him a punctured lung. He sledged me all day about how soft my old man was. I was angry, but now in perspective I don't really care about it that much. Its part of the game and I'm sure that if this guy has a conscience he will regret what he said. If he doesn't then that is an indictment on him and I pity him.
Cornes father should not have put this in the media. Minson should not have elaborated on the incident*. This kid, after just being born, has had a very personal illness discussed in the public forum. I tell you right now if I had this happen to me I would be absolutely livid. I wouldn't want the first thing that people know about me to be that I was the object of a nasty sledge on the football field.
This kind of stuff shouldn't be talked about by all those high and mighty types in the media. It is disgraceful to do so. Every single person on this forum has said something nasty that they regret to another person. Would you want that to be discussed by the media?
Leave sledging on the footy field were it belongs. It doesn't mean anything about the real views of the player. discussing it makes the problem worse.
*To any of you who are being pedantic realise that I have made no contradiction by discussing the incident involving myself or my father. Neither I nor he have any problems about airing this in a public forum.
