It goes beyond not being 'nice'. I hate Cornes, but as a parent of young children myself I can't condone recruiting an oxygen thief like Minson.

Not sure thats the entire reason we got rid of him. Form, skill, and being surplus to requirements also had a bit to do with it.

Ruckman are rare as hens teeth and for a year or two I'm sure we can manage Minson who suffers from the relatively minor ailment of occaisional white line fever. Given hes an "in case of emergency break glass" recruit, I'd ask if it sends a good message to pass on the best available.

Minson has been a magnificent clubman and all round good guy throughout his career at the Dogs. He does suffer a little from white line fever, but he is a fantastic character.

Personality issues aside, I don't think it's a bad get. I think he was on the outer at the dogs and I've seen him play some bloody good football over the years. A bit of a sting in the tail might revive his career. Hudson was reasonable. Minson could be too.

You are taking 2 incidents on field and making a judgement, based on the mutterings from Port Adelaide. There was history with Port Adelaide, that related to their treatment of Will's family. You would be better to keep an open mind, rather than make judgements on reports emanating from others.

If Collingwood do list Minson, he will be a great acquistion if you are considering character.

The game that Beveridge wants is not suited to his skill set, but he would be a great influence on the playing group and an honest tryer on field.

Mutterings from Port Adelaide? No I'm basing them on actual reports and quotes directly from Cornes. Anyone who targets a small child on field and references then as a 'dying son' just to sledge a player is scum, and he clearly didn't learn his lesson because he targeted a Gold Coast players mother too. He is scum. I couldn't care less about what he brings to the club on field.

Minson is not a good fit and if he wasn't given a chance to be an influence on a young group like the Bulldogs then I don't want this spud anywhere near our rebuild.

Dane Swan assaulted a security guard once and he's treated as a Collingwood legend. In my opinion, there is no limit to on-field sledging. Do anything you can to put the opponents off their game. I sincerely hope Minson is a Magpie in 2017.

Jolly was moved on because his knees were shot and he would have been 33 if we kept him another year.

He might have been a bit of a dick on field with some of his sledges but he's probably about the only mature back up Ruck worth bringing in. I think it would be irresponsible of the club not to have ready to go cover for Grundy going into next year.

If it's purely as a back up from the rookie list I'm happy to have him as depth. Hopefully Grundy plays all games in the 1s and Minson is the premier Ruck for our VFL team.
