How is his recovery coming along? I didn't get the chance to see if he played on the weekend because i didn't see the game (i know, sorry). If he did play, how did he go?
Memories of that domination of Riewoldt have me hoping he'll be back and firing soon.

Good news for Will. Hopefully they play him on O'Keefe or O'Loughlin.

We'll probably get flogged seeing as no Joel, Brown or Richo are in. Plus PB won't be in so our run from defence will be next to nothing. JON to play Joel's role?

Schulz will be FF surely.

thursfield is a gun

the quicker him and polak and mcguane set up our backline the better which will mean subpar and hall out

Woah, a positive post:eek:
Fully agree though

McGuane's not good enough

but having Thursfield, Polak, the bowdens, Newman and Raines back there should squeeze out most of the duds

well im glad people agree with me on that one. should be an exciting prospect all round. Another thing...wat does everyone think of cam howat? seems like a decent player to me. ny thoughts?

ive seen more from mcguane than moore, hartigan, jackson, limbach put together

the guy was thrown around everywhere for coburg last yr because they had no kpp and he played 2 senior games which we lost by 200 points

can take a grab and runs all day

25 Kicks, 15 Marks, 34 Disposals in 7 games is not a gun.

He is a promising tall defender (of which we have very few) that is all.

I agree he is a promising player and not a gun but disposals are not the key ingredient to his success.

I have high hopes for Thursfield, think he will develop into a gun defender for us.

I cant wait till Thurfield, Polak and Bowden are together playing well, with run from Raines, Newman, Casserley and Oakleigh-Nicholls.

Am a little bit worried about what we are all expecting from Will. He does look the goods, but seems more suited to a running type tall forward ie Nick Riewoldt. This still leaves us with nobody (except Gas) to play on the bigger, stay closer to home, forwards. I think we still have a massive hole with that area of our defence. Maybe Big Jay is the answer but he seems to be more of a natural forward than defender.

You can't get the big defenders who play FB and soon enough there won't be any in the Forward line either. Most teams have a mobile FF these days.

Gehrig and resting ruckmens kill us.

either someone has hijacked your account, or you have found love. thats 2 positive posts in 1 thread.

Anyone seen him in action for Coburg the last few games? I'd like to think he was back in the senior team before the mid season break.

Interesting...

Read some reports on his efforts last week, played pretty well defensively but it was a game well suited to the defenders rather than forwards, and he had the job on the 4th forward.

We're all desperate for him to do well, but I hope we take no risks with him and give him all the time he needs to get his fitness and form up to speed.

Too late, he's in this week.

the kids got potential and could be a good player.

but his frame is too fragile. I wonder how many minutes he'll play before he's injured long term again?

Had no idea he was even in the mix. Here's hoping he's ready for it.

He has bulked up this year, and he isn't an injury prone player anyway, he wont be injured.
