Ok it's the eve of round 1. MM goes to his team list and discovers that he only has 3 fit players to fill the last spot in the team to face the Richomond tigresses. He must choose between Williams, BK and the cardboard man. Who do you choose and why?

Williams performed okay in the WC game, but couldn't convert. I've heard that he has done alright in the practice games, so he might be okay in the forward line this week.

If we are going to play Richards, I don't think we can play another tall, seeing as though we already have Fraser.

Richards and Cloke have to play so Stunner doesn't have a spot. As Kinnear is never an option, that leaves Williams.

Richards must play. No room for McKee - with or without C Cloke.

Kinnear is a better matchup against Richmond than Williams.

As the 22nd player for the team they would all provide value if picked. However I favour McKee as he would provide the extra tall that could stretch the defense of the Tigers as well as provide good, around the ground rucking support. It would allow Josh to play CHF.

Well the cardboard man would have more toughness, and harder at it then Williams.....and more skill then BK, and probably more output.

I think the answer is quite clear.

why are you hanging it on willo, hes a good player, better then average can run is fairly small and has a great grab for his size. He'll be a regular this season.

Williams started last year in good fashion as a floating forward/wingman, solely because he got under oppositions guard. Once they new, he was manned up efficiently and his effect nullified. I dont think he is the same player after copping that ultra heavy knock mid last year, it really seemed to deflate him for the remainder. Having said that, I would prefer to see him to attempt to reprose that role, provided he can get his confidence back up, and get his head over the ball again and also convert with his opportunities.

If either of the other 2 were selected I would see it as regression, McKee/Kinnear are not the future of this club. Cam Cloke will be picked and Davidson/Richards should clearly get a go before either of these guys, especially Kinnear.

He has been better than avergae for about three of his twenty somethin games for the Pies.

I want to see Richards!

a choice between average and inconsistent....

In the age of "the Four quarter player is king"..... Kinnear and McKee have consistently been two quarter wonders......
Williams has shown moments of being a four quarter player, but again is inconsistent.....Mick needs to line up all the inconsistent two quarter wonders against the nearest wall.....

Actually I don't think I'd choose any of them.

Maybe check out the car park before the game.

I'm sorry did I offend your BK fantasies. Perhaps all are better looking, smarter and more useful, but I don't pretend to be a footballer do I? You have my word then when BK starts grabbing 5 marks a game and having 20+ touches then I will eat my words and allow you to publically roast me on this site. Until then BK is fair game.
