Still a couple of weeks away, but they have announced some of the Wildcard recipients today so I thought we could get the thread started.

Mens Singles: Jamie Baker, David Goffin, Oliver Golding, Josh Goodall, Tommy Haas, Lleyton Hewitt, James Ward

Womens Singles: Naomi Broady, Johanna Konta, Virginie Razzano, Laura Robson, Yaroslava Shvedova, Heather Watson

Mens Doubles: Jamie Delgado and Ken Skupski, Chris Guccione and Lleyton Hewitt

It will be very interesting to see how many of the players play both singles and doubles at Wimbledon this year, with the Olympic tournament a couple of weeks afterwards. I would think a high % would be playing with their intended partner at the Olympics.

Ash Barty now has a MD WC after winning Nottingham singles and doubles. She is in the top 250 and is only 16 years old. Luke pulled out of quallies. Duckworth won in straights last night and takes on giquel tonight. Ben Mitchell lost to WC Chris eaton.

Barty is going to be a superstar if nurtured and trained properly, maybe not #1 material but definitely top ten.

Really tough draw overall for the Australians, I can see most of them losing to be honest. Hopefully Tomic wakes up because he'll be playing a guy with confidence. Hewitt/Tsonga will be on centre court tuesday, Lleyton has no chance but will be nice to hope.

The first round in the mens draw has some really interesting match ups and hopefully we get coverage of most of them. Kohlschreiber and Haas are unlucky to draw each other after their impressive runs last week. Nalbandian vs Tipsarevic is another tough opener for both players, as is Anderson vs Dimitrov.

The SOP isn't up yet for tomorrow, hopefully it will be out soon. Unlucky for Hewitt to draw Tsonga in the 1st round but with his lack of match play it would have been tough for him no matter what seed he came up against in the first round. Tomic is hard to pick at the moment, not playing well at all. The big difference from here to Wimbledon in 2011 is that Bernie had to make his way through Quallies just to play in the MD of Wimbledon last year. So by the time MD started he had confidence on the grass and was match tough. Not the same story this year. But he comes up against Goffin who Tomic will feel confident he can beat. Tomic's section is actually not too bad either.

Cannot wait for it to start tomorrow. Will be there on Men's 1/4 final day, get me on the plane now!

All the aussies on tv courts, look forward to watching some losses tomorrow :(

Nalby/Tipsy is clearly match of the day. i know it probably won't happen, but I'm hoping Gulbis catches fire and beat Berdych, that would be great.

Why? Djokovic would have a bye to the SF if that happens. I'd much prefer we have some interesting QFs to look forward to later in the tournament.

I can't stand Berdych, that's all

She looked genuinely relieved and happy to have won today. Was simply the ideal match up for Stosur on grass. Already enjoying the fact we have 2 channels on with tennis on. Good to have some choice, though not too interested in watching Jarmilla.
