Safeway. Nine hours a day of getting campaignered putting price tags on life savers for two weeks, for a combined income of $50.

WTF do you learn from that?
You learn that Safeway will stoop to new levels to grab child labour.

When I was in highschool, I did my work experience at a stock broker for less than $1 an hour.

It looked like a pretty decent job. No-one was really working hard at all. Most of the time, they were just surfing the net and doing whatever they wanted.

However, the economy was going along very nicely back then. With the amount of brokerage they would be hauling in, there's little doubt why they just piss farted around all day.

I ended up going down the science path instead of the commerce path in uni anyway.

Oh yeah, the receptionist was smoking hot. :thumbsu:

I did mine at the then S.E.C. (State Electricity Commission) in Geelong in 1983. I had a pretty good time, did it for 2 weeks, my first day was an RDO as they only worked a 9 day fortnight.

Shortly after, I applied for one of their apprentice linesman positions, I got through all of the testing and then had the interview. The interview panel was made up of 3 blokes that took me around for my 2 weeks. I was told thanks but no thanks, I was too hypo to be working around live electrical cables, lol.

I did my work experience in the IT department at the local TAFE. The ****ing assholes made me get them coffee and the boss was even going to get me to wash his car. I subsequently told them to shove their job up their ass and didn't go back. The best part was that my teacher actually agreed with me about them being assholes.
