work Rate not enough

We had a pretty good work rate today we just lacked that polish. We need forwards and we need them now! Bate isn't a KPF and Juice isn't even a footballer, more of a joke. God I hope Robbo is back next week. GEELONG May god have mercy on us all.

agreed. we could have won if we had some decent forwards, we need Robbo, Maric and Aussie. Bate, Miller and Juice are not good enough, half the time they're not even in the forward line.

juice's chasing was disappointing today, and bate just didn't get enough of it. its a problem, cause it often means two on one on miller, who gets understandably frustrated.

I dont think Buddy and Franklin would have kicked many tonight. We had 19 inside 50's in the first half. Poor old Miller had 3 on 1 every tie. Bate is a half forward who is struggling big time. Much more effective player when has key forwards around him. Think back to when we had Neitz Robertson etc. Newton is disgraceful and should never wear the juper again. Please Leave Dunn Forward. At least he presents hard and often but the delivery inside forward 50 was disgraceful. Adelaide have a lot to answer for in regards to the game as they play a terribly unattractive brand of football and we were just too shit to break it down. How many times did we handball to a stationary target or miss by hand. FFS the wind was so tricky every time the ball was kicked in quickly Adelaide looked so uncomfortable becasue overhead marking was impossible. How much did we miss Brad Green tonight and dare I say this Wheatley. At least he could have penetrated long into the forward 50.

was a very tough day to be a half forward today, especially with the game plan implemented by both coaches. of course they are not going to be in the forward half when we play our zone and there half backs just zone off.

we needed polish as you mentioned, and our foot skills will improve, i agree that newton is not up to it. if he had kicked those two goals and the rivers free kick in the second quarter hadnt been paid when every one stopped, the result could have been a diffrerent story. we certainly had our chances to win today, jettas miss was inexcusable.

our attack on the footy was good. we are improving every week. as for our forwards at the moment our best bet is to probably play dunn up forward, drop newton and bring in robbo. miller just needs to touch the ball early to get a bit of confidence and at least he makes a contest when its three on one.

our work rate was fantastic today and i think bailey coached well, he didnt change his plan too much when we hadnt kicked a goal. i am pleased with the result today, the conditions were very tough to play in today.
