Joined a few mates for the Royal Rumble, had a ripper game of backyard cricket, then at 5pm toddled off to work where I made what I normally make in a week in the space of 7 hours (7 hours * $32.93 per hour).

Was rung on Friday by my company saying i had to fly overseas at 7am Australia day morning. Crammed some renovations in over the weekend, and didn't plan anything for the holiday as i was meant to be flying offshore. Get to the airport at 6am after getting up at 5am, find there is no ticket for me at the airport. Ring the company from the airport, 'opps sorry we forgot to ring you back, you aren't flying out today'. Got in a taxi and got home to a stunned G/F at 8am, wanting to know what the hell i was doing back home and not on the flight. Sat at home the rest of the day as we hadn't planned anything, which after the brawls and stabbings over here in Perth at the fireworks, wasn't such a bad thing.
