With the current crop of players we now have in the one day side, if we reatin these players for the world cup next year, we have no hope of even making the finals. The time is now to start making some changes in the side and look towards the world cup next year. Reputation alone should not guarentee any player a spot in the side, form alone is what is required.

Forget the WSC this summer with the South Africans and the Kiwis, it's all over. The Kiwis shall win it this year and on current form, Australia would be lucky to make the finals.

Mark Waugh should go along with others as well. This side is old and tired and its time to bring in the next generation. This is the side I would take to the World cup next year.

Goldenblue,

I wouldn't write off Ian Harvey just yet. He has not been allowed to play his natural game with the bat so far this summer & I think the Aussie selectors need to give him a licence to attack the bowlers no matter what happens.

I dont think Greg Blewett is up to one-day standard... his record is absolutely woeful for a player of his ability.

I think they need to look at Stuart MacGill as a possible inclusion in the one-day arena.

Shane Lee's bowling isn't up to scratch to be played as the all-rounder. Shane Watson's development may have to be hurried as he is really the only quality all-rounder we have at the momment. We could use Brad Young but not sure if 2 spinners would want to be played.

Thats confidence....

I think Shane Lee is carrying a few injuries right now....Blewett is in good form with the bat and has proven himself before and I thought he did well with Australia A. He did not make big scores, but his timing was good.

Ian Harvey and Andy Symons both seem tentative when it comes to their batting....they should both be playing their natural games
