I am in Boston in the USA. I was sent over here by my work. A mate from work, another cats supporter and bigfooty poster, PATDMAN, was sent over here as well. ****ing **** will probably get to go home for the GF whilst I will be stuck here.

I can still watch the game, I have Setanta sports on INTV. We get 2 live games a week and the finals series. We have been very lucky this year as they just choose their games a week ahead or else the program manager is a cats supporter as we have had 5 or so live cats games. I have missed a couple of them as I was out of town but it is awesome on a Friday night at midnight watching the Saturday cats game live after work.

Still. I really really really wanted to make it home for the finals incase we won it all. I had this thing going, the Summer of Scotty and it was rolling along with a VENGEANCE. So much so that I am convinced the Cats are going to get up just because it is the Summer of Scotty. The plan 3 days ago was work was going to send me home before the 29th but now it has been extended. Oh well, I have had an awesome couple of years and am a very lucky guy for it so I shouldnt complain.

Bit upsetting though

Can't stand the thought of the Cats finally cracking it and not being there to see it!

I am looking at ways.

  • 2k for a flight.
  • 500-1k for a ticket.
  • 1k spending money.
It is a 4k adventure which is pretty hefty. I have been spending money this year like it is going out of fashion and I am a trendsetter.

It really a simple matter of finances. Without the money it is just not humanly possible.

Good luck with that - there is no humanly possible way I'll be able afford to go over, since we just bought a house, so I'll be stuck with the midnight shift. Not ideal but I suppose it'll have to do - at least we will be able to get the games live.

I'm going home next wednesday and leaving mid October.
Lucky for me!
I think the buzz around Geelong will be just as exciting as the games themselves...
To see that town after a GF win would be sweet!

Geelong is just one of those volcanos that hasn't erupted in years. Its just waiting to explode
