sucker!

Good effort from Hellmuth to start with 7k and finish with 65k. Long way to go but he seems really focused. Still shouldn't have lost the 50k Players' Championship in 10 hands from a 5:1 chip lead.

Hellmuths story for today was a pretty good one

For those who didnt hear he didnt know he was playing 2a, thought it was 2b, Mike Matusow noticed that he wasnt at his chair and thought something must be up. Hellmuth had his phone off and Do Not Disturb sign on his hotel door and was dead to the world, Matusow convinced security to break in and wake up

Ended up missing the first 1hr and 40minutes, lost half his stack in that time

8 cards is a bit much.

Looks like Ben Lamb will enter Day 3 as the chipleader. He really wants to deny Hellmuth POTY.

Story is during the break the dealer discovered 8 marked cards, called the floor to get them replaced but the floor brought back the wrong colour replacements and somehow in all of that, the correct colour replacements didnt arrive before they were used

Rio ended up saying no hands were played while the deck was short which is the most believable story, it would be hard not to notice a deck was 8 cards short when dealing a hand

Tony Hachem got an ok stack along with Lissandro going into Day 3

Ben Lamb was always a lock to go deep considering the factors with POY and his series so far lol

Does anyone know if the previous few days of "live" ESPN coverage has been uploaded anywhere?

I've been trying to avoid all media coverage so far because I don't want to hear the results, but I forgot that ESPN are covering it live.

I just flicked through the channels on Foxtel and saw it, so I can tape todays coverage (and the rest of the tournament), but I've missed the past few.

I've checked the Pokerbay, but there doesn't appear to be anything there. If somebody has found it somewhere can they shoot me a PM. Don't want to check this thread again to avoid spoilers.

Cheers

Updated for day 4.

Note: The DNR from day 3 could be Jeff Lisandro, as reports suggest he made it to day 4 but his name was not coming up in the official list of starters.

Hellmuth has a lead of 51.2 in the POY. For Lamb to overtake, he needs to finish in the top 20% of cashers, or the top 138. At the moment he's probably odds on to do exactly that. For anyone else to take POY (e.g Jake Cody), they need to win the whole thing outright.

Live coverage on Foxtel major success imo
One might think that the 'no hole cards' coverage would prove to be quite boring, yet I found it excellent viewing with the extended analysis it allowed. Say what you like about Antonio Esfandiari but I really liked his commentary today.

Good commentary with no hole cards always trumps holecards with general Norm and Lon commentary

The most enjoyable ME Final Table was when Ivey was on there and all we had was bluff magazine commentating and a 'tic-tac-toe' image of everyones position and chip stack

They had some sick commentators do hour long stretches and from memory Hellmuth basically hung around for the whole thing, it was sick

Antonio has been really good, if they managed to to half hour guests or something it would be great

Hope they can get a decent feature table tomorrow though
