furst of all i fink u shuld lern englicsh

I don't know why you think the Brum are worst, I think they look reasonable this year and have done well in the transfer market. I'd say Wolves are the worst at the moment.

wolves will beat birmingham

i would not say woves are quality but they will beat birmingham , they will not bet relegated this year either , they will finish about 14th 15th i think , birminigham will finish about their aswell

you say birmingham are the worst team in the premiership yet you think they also will narrowly avoid relegation just like the wolves will. i cant believe i took the time to point out how stupid you are.

the wolves are clearly the worst team, but what remains to be seen is who the 2nd and 3rd worst teams are that will be joining them down in div1 next year. i think bolton and charlton will go down this year. fulham, despite there good start to the year will go close too. birmingham are very safe imo and still have some quality players to return to their side.

The wolves are clearly the weakest team in the comp, and they will probably be relegated

Birmingham have a quite good midfielder in Dunn, and Forssell is a good loan

i dont know what this is supposed to mean. ill see if i can make some sense in it: i said that wolves are the worst team and will be relegated, you said they would finish 14-15 (like birmingham) and hence avoid relegation.

Any person with a username of mudine the man obviously has no brain smarts, so his opinion isn't very valid anyway.

Wolves no doubt on evidence from how they have played this year are the worst team in the Premier League.

Wolves are the worst, and while they have plenty of injuries I don't think the players due to come back are going to improve them all that much.

Birmingham will be a top 10 side this year, there are plenty of sides worse than them, and while it pains me to say it Steve Bruce has built up a pretty decent side.

Well I watched 2 games last night the first one was Wolves losing 5-0 and the second was Birmingham (slightly fortuitously) winning 2-0. Although there defence didnt let Leeds create too many clear cut chances.
Saying that Wolves are better tha Birmingham is just utterly ridiculious. Unfortunately Brum looks destined for a top 10 spot, while Wolves can statr planfirst division next year. A pity Sheffield United didn't come up instead because they would have been much more worthy EPL side. They just missed out in the Playoff but i remember them giving Liverpool trouble last year in the League Cup Semi's.
Villa 2 Alpay, Samuel
Charlton 1

Up the Villa
Watch out Brum your Judgement Day is coming.

At this rate, Wolves look like repeating the feats of Swindon and Barnsley in conceding a shocking amount of goals. The side is definitely lacking in most respects and Colin Cameron is one of the very few in that squad who can cut it at the highest level. Mark Kennedy is one who undoubtedly has talent but his attitude is questionable to say the least.

But how exactly do we judge a team to be the worst ever? Points accumulated? Quality of players (or lack thereof)? Or the style and manner of their failure? Today teams are subject to far more scrutiny than they were in the pre-Premiership period and as such any team's success or failure will receive far more exposure than they used to get.

In the three points for a win era (1981-), the lowest achieved by any team was Stoke City in 1984-85 with 3 wins (though one of them was against Man U!), 8 draws and 31 defeats for a mere 17 points.

In the Premiership era, the outright worst was Sunderland last season with a meagre 19 points and 21 goals plus a record-breaking 15 successive defeats.

Watford finished 1999-2000 with a meagre 24 points, but this is where it gets interesting. That Watford side, IMHO, wasn't quite as bad as the stats would suggest and certainly not as bad as some of the teams which make the "worst ever" shortlist. After all, they did beat Liverpool and Chelsea, and only lost to Arsenal (twice) and Man U (at home) by the odd goal. As a matter of fact, their squad had been decimated by injuries- had they had a full squad for most of the season (i.e. Richard Johnson and Nick Wright in particular) they would certainly have done better.

Watford were also crticised for not spending, but looking at things now that sounded like a wise strategy. They did something very stupid by waiting until after they got relegated before they spent all their money. Thanks to Vialli, the club have ended up being deep in the red.

Swindon achieved notoriety for having no interest in defending and consequently became the first top flight side in three decades to let in 100 goals. But at the same time they managed to get some eye-catching results such as draws at home to Man U (made infamous by that stamping incident) and away to Arsenal and Liverpool.

Ipswich in 94/95 and Nottingham Forest in 98/99 would be other candidates, both were pretty much anchored to the bottom for much of the season and on the receiving end of some of the heaviest defeats in recent League history.
