Worst Idea for a Game

As a person who has seen the best and worst since the 1970's I wonder whether anyone can come up with some funny games that are classics for all the wrong reasons.

In the early 80's when cocktail and uprights were king, there were some terrible releases for such expensive consoles. A lot of general shoot em ups but some real left of field ideas such as:

- CENTIPEDE - shooting centipedes
- (can't remember the name but might have been Kind Kong?) king kong climbing a building with 2 joysticks - was quite fun though
- a chef chasing ingredients for a hamburger around a building

Any other absolute stinkers?

I wouldn't call Centipede and Burger Time stinkers, they are considered by most to be classics of the early arcade era.

Easy to look back and poke fun at games like Centipede now, but this was an infant industry that had evolved out of the experiments of computer hobbyists.

But unfair to apply the standards by which we hold games today to these classics.

That said... you can't beat the "story" to Bad Dudes.

I was drawing a long bow with my originals but I needed some other input to get my memory drive happening upstairs!

Burger time bought back some memories.

By far the worst games are those that attempt to be educational. Like the ones at school back in the 80's, where you had to solve a maths puzzle to fire the gun on your tank. What a shit fire control system.

The whole premise of that game is unvelievable. Did you see some of the others from the same company? Girls catching semen in their mouths, witches lactating breast milk for prisoners etc... Unf'ingbelievable! What were they on when they developed these?

Had both, once you get over the whole 'shock' [intended] part of it, they were pretty entertaining. Here's a fact, 'Ethnic Cleansing' was the favourite game by Seperatist duo Prussian Blue.
