I was just looking around on some other teams Boards and majority of them have a topic in relation to recruiting Robbo. The yes/no ratio is 50/50. Would it upset you to see Robbo running around in a Carlton jumper next year?

It would absolutely kill me to see him running around in any colours except for the red and the blue.

And the part I would hate most is abusing him and the umpires when he falls to ground so easily and gets a free kick against Matty Warnock.

Not in the least, I'd love to see him continue.

That said, of all the clubs he could go to, I'd prefer it not to be Carlton. He deserves better than Johnson and Robinson's crew.

Carlton was the only club that I could think of that needs that type of fwd who can take attention away from fev and kick a bag every 3-4 weeks or sumthing and they will need that to be a dangerous side in the finals in the next couple of years

In that article in the Age today about Robbo his u15's coach said he had no ability below his knees and didnt have any second effort back then. In 12 years at Melbourne nothing has changed. Says alot about him, none positive.

In answer to the question posed: Hell no.

Gee that is harsh mate.

Robbo has kicked 400 odd goals for us as an undersized FF. He has been frustrating at times but I for one am sad to see him go :( .

If he does play on though I wish him all the best, even if it is at Carlton.

That post says a lot about you.

I'd love to see Robbo play on in a successful side. Some of his efforts this year haven't been 100%, and he does spend a lot of time on his back but that's what happens when you go for the big marks. If he went to Carlton they could be very dangerous when both Robbo and Fev are on. But on the bad days it would also be interesting viewing.

He's still got something left to give, even if it is only one or two more seasons, & with decent delivery into the forward 50 he could kick 30-40 goals.

Playing for Carlton? He could play for the Gold Coast for all I care, just sucks he's not playing for us.

GDay guys :thumbsu:

In relation to Robbo i hope we do pick him up in the PSD as he will come cheaply and still has a 2 good years in him if he remains Injury free and could easily average 2 Goals a game and with Murph , Juddy and Gibbs delivering the ball to him i think it would be a great get for us and would certainty help us in a push for a flag in the next few years.

He has been a great player for the Dees and i would say it is 60/40 on our board ATM in wether or not we should pick him up. Interesting times coming up this year in trade week. :)

If Robbo was picked up by Carlton it would be a mixed reaction in my case. I'd be happy for him, for the simple fact that his career is continueing as he wanted it too but...I dunno, Robbo in a Blues jumper...hmm. Yeah, I dunno. lol

However, if he was part of a winning premiership side, I'd be really happy for him. Definetly deserves a premiership medal... even if it does come with the wrong club.

Wouldnt bother me one bit.

Especially after watching Liam Jurrah slam through 10 goals in Round 1 on his way to becoming the first ever Demon to kick the ton.

All it says is that I find it hard to tolerate a player who's not putting in 100%.

I'd prefer it not to be Carlton but if thats what happens then good luck to him, he deserves another crack and its the clubs fault and not his, unlike CJ, that he wont be running around for the red and blue next year

I see no reason to get shitty. Wish him all the best for the future, i don't think he'd make much of a dent to be honest.

Reminds me of when peter walsh went to port, amicable split and he gave a good year to the team.
