lol, whilst my amazement and joy is probably countered by some very dissapointed magpie fans, i just want to congratulate the collingwood youngsters on controlling 95% of the match.
on that effort you have alot to look forward to :)

It's Pick 2 & 4 Nick, but potentially the spoon and Pick 1 & 3. Could even be potentially the spoon and just pick 1!

It's a ******ed system where you really dunno whether you want to lose or not. Against the spirit of competition.

To be fair, I don't think our Club has deliberately losing as an option. We're trying hard with the players we've got and there were some good signs today.

I'd like to commend Flaps on gettingg a haircut. The aerodynamics helped markedly!

Hard to admit it out loud, but be competitive but lose and pick up a couple of quality kids. Get Rocca and Tarrant fit and make the system work for you.

Well played today. Some of the young guys like Davies and Fanning showed that there is something to work with. Good luck for the rest of the season.

At least with Collingwood we are trying to win even with half our side out. I dont know what Carltons excuse is as they have a full strength side and they still think they have a better playing list than us.
 
Boomer always kills us. Great player though.

Some of our kids did well. I think next year should be a lot better when we get back the injured players (hopefully) and the 2004/05 draftees develop quick.

Well from what I saw we went Woewodin/H.Shaw.

Heath Shaw was a stupid decision, he was tearing us apart and it was obvious after five minutes that he was losing Shaw in traffic.

Holland would have been my number one match up. Hands down. And if he failed, Licuria.

Funny how Johnson or Lokan would have been a good match up for him...
 
Heath Shaw didnt have the experience to beat Harvey. But I loved that pass he hit Jason Cloke wit in the last term. Imagine him doing 10 of those a game especially hitting Tarrant.

Both Holland and Licuria are carrying injuries and wouldnt have been able to keep up. I'm happy H Shaw got the job. It was a good learning experience for him.

I'm not unhappy that MM has the confidence in Heater, I rate Heater, but he was getting chopped up yesterday and the change had to be made.

Lokan should have played yesterday.
