Footy Fanatic, Premiership Coach and On the Ball where all good AFL Games but have all been abandoned by there admins. Its terrible and there is no AFL management games at all to play. Is there any other good AFL games that you can play?

Sadly it comes down to market in the end. I did some (very minor) work with Matt, and then a fair bit more with Adam, but on each occassion the time involved in just creating the background engines for the game were very time consuming.

At the end of the day, for the developer they are a business proposition, and even one-man bands have bills to pay, mouths to feed, etc. It's hard to justify 1000 hours development time into a game that will only sell a few thousand (hundred?) copies, with all of the post-sale stuff to deal with (helpline, etc) and doesn't have a massive fan-base.

If I had the time (or more importantly the skills and ability), I'd love to pick up PC from where Adam left it and develop it further, but ideas are only good if they appeal to the masses, and the market for AFL management is 1/1000 of Baseball/Basketball/Gridiron, and 1/10000000000000 of soccer management games.

As Simon said, (no pun intended) there are generally one-man teams that make FF and PC - sometimes life takes priority.

With footycoach, I'm trying to build it as I can, and build a community around it - however if I need to get out of town for work or have uni exams, it's going to take a second priority.

Premiership Coach has been abandoned? It was of my understanding that Ad had only said there will be no 2012 due to life. Now he is beginning work again. Unless he announced something that isn't viewable on his BF page.

I can understand why these projects are abandoned. AFL is still a relatively small sport - I mean, it hasn't even fully been embraced by Australia yet. In the end, your target audience can be pretty small. First they need to be gamers, and gamers who are willing to pay, and then they have to be AFL fans. In the case of management games, you've got another subset of this cross-section of groups.

I'm pretty sure he is still working on 2013, but he said it won't be much of a major update.
Obviously the market is too small, you have to like AFL, then games, then sim/management games, then dish out $50. Which only leads to 1,000-2,000 buyers.

When you aren't making that much revenue you obviously have to prioritize other things, however i'm still hopeful that everything gets back on track for Ad (The maker of Premiership coach)

Does anyone know how to create the owner of FF? I have been trying for a few years.

Well to create him you..... When a mummy and daddy love each other very, very much....

Hopefully when they log on (Probably Unlikely) they see they are tagged and hopefully reply. I tagged Ad a few times in other posts, I think others have aswell.
