Apparently upper seating levels are being closed off and people are getting their tickets upgraded.

WWE did a shitty job announcing this not far out from the event and haven't really promoted it a hell of a lot either. Should have done a lot more build up.

should have just saved the important matches for SummerSlam, and not bothered with the PPV.

Or they could have left in the following week like it was supposed to be rather than needlessly filling the whole weekend to counter program AEW. Ticket sales a lot down from what they would have been too.

Looking forward to Rhea v Iyo (which I suspect most have pencilled in, too). If they get given enough time, could be a MOTY contender.
go IYO

Y'know, if they hadn't released a bunch of female wrestlers post WM 41, this show might be better.
if they weren't booking on a 2 week build, if Liv didn't get injured, if they weren't booking the show just to counterprogram AEW. all that stuff...

If the battle royal is supposed to have 20 participants as named, and there's no additional entrants/substitutes, then maybe Paige returns to do commentary?

still a bit crap for Giulia, that all the other champions on main roster are defending their titles and she isn't (obviously not counting the Speed title). but I guess whoever eliminates her is next challenger? (presumably either Vaquer or Bella wins?)

Barely any real build, supposedly an afterthought according to most pundits online.

And they deliver that. Incredible.

The moment that's been released of Rhea and Iyo on the ramp is so sweet. Genuinely feels like a united division (backstage)

Thought I'd elaborate on why I enjoyed this so much now that I'm on a laptop and not on my phone.

Let me preface this by saying I had every intention of Evolution being background noise while I doom scrolled on my phone and had no idea this event was even a thing as I haven't been watching WWE lately.

I quickly realised during the opening match and the energy of the crowd that I was going to enjoy this event.

Triple Threat started things off with a banger and whilst I really don't vibe with Baylee, Becky is one of my favourites and the roll up she did to win the match was super clean and was an awesome roll up finish. One of the better roll up finishes I've seen ever.

I had every intention of skipping the NXT Women's Championship match, but, once again, was drawn in completely. A solid outing with some women I've never seen before. The NXT Champion put up a great showing and the commentary team really did a great job of telling us how much of an underdog, unexpected champion she is and having to prove herself.

The 8 women tag was just an absolute banger. The crowd gave my girl Charlotte Flair some unexpected love and the pop for her on the hot tag was almost the highlight of the night. It was nice to see as I think Flair has been hard done by in recent years, good to see her getting some love. Her partnership with Bliss has massive potential and obviously down the line they'll have a feud and hopefully Bliss is the heel. Sol Ruca has a big future in the company and it was good they gave her a few moments to shine. Multi-women matches continue to shit all over multi-men matches.

Tiffy vs Trish was just good fun. Tiffy bumped and worked her ass off in this match. Not sure there was much of a story being told here but it's always great to see Trish.

Naomi vs Jade was a good no holds barred match. Not sure where the criticisms of Jade come from? She looks solid as in the ring and has aura. Some good spots here and I enjoyed that Bianca Belair was basically a non-factor despite being ref.

Even the Battle Royale was just so much fun. Would've liked a bit more from Chelsea Green as I think she has main event material written all over her. Speaking of aura, Stephanie Vacquer has it all. Strap the rockets to her. She's ****ing awesome.

The main event was a genuine 5 star match if I've ever seen one. Certified banger. Both women went so hard. A nice swerve at the end does not take away from this match at all. It was so good. Do yourselves a favour and check it out.

Finally watched tonight. Was an awesome show. I’m annoyed Naomi won the night but it had to happen sometime, it was as good a time as any to do it.

That main event was awesome, my only criticism was the Spanish fly, ruined it for me. I’ll just imagine it was a suplex and give it 5 stars.

Rhea and Iyo are probably my two favourite performers at the moment, and that main event showed why. Rhea's power, Iyo's finesse, the psychology involved in their characters; these two are utter magic when they get time to work together. If you put together a handful of WWE matches for MOTY candidates, the Wrestlemania Night 2 triple threat and Evolution main event will both be pretty near unanimous mentions, and neither is a surprise given who was involved.
