Latest release in the 2K series less than a month away now.

After the epic failure of 2K20 caused a break in the series things are looking up. Graphically the lighting and arenas look fantastic and the current superstars look very good.

MY GM game mode is back along with a new mode My Faction which will be like the My Team on NBA style.

2K20 which was released in 2019 and no it was never fixed.

This game has been rebuilt , new engine and from all reports the gameplay etc is very smooth. It has some new modes including GM mode which looks a bit barebones but still has enough as a start, Universe mode which is like god mode or play as 1 superstar, career mode which looks to have a lot of depth to it this version and MyFaction which is similar to the NBA my team premise.
 
Picked it up today, from the one match I've played so far it's a massive improvement on previous one's. However i can't select any mode other than play now 1 v 1 with only a handful if wrestlers to choose from, any one else having this issue ?

I got a physical copy and that and the patch have already been copied and downloaded so I'm assuming there must be some other installation going on thats hidden ?

Edit: I'm thinking it's not officially released in USA yet so that's why I'm locked out of everything other than 1 v 1.

Been stuck with demo mode for 9 hrs total now, deleted and reinstalled everything 3 times and still no sign of anything else installing. It's soured my interest in the game already .

Custom Renders are amazing feels like the wrestlers you download are actually a part of the game and not some created ugly figure just need to get custom entrances and you can use this for a universal wrestling game
 
Welp I caved and purchased the game, first impressions are that it reminds me a lot of a "playable" version of the cgi intro to Smackdown: Just Bring it from 2001!!!!



I feel that it looks more like a cgi representation of the wrestlers, moreso than photo realistic. Some don't look right, reading other forums people seem to think the eyes don't look natural compared to the rest of the body. Some characters (eg: The Rock) look ok physique-wise to a point, but then something throws the whole thing off (facial expressions). Granted even from the first Smackdown game on the PSX, not every wrestler was done perfectly (still have flashbacks of Rikishi from Smackdown 2 lol oh and Scotty 2 Hotty having McDonalds French Fries looking hair).

Camera angle took a bit to get used to, it's alright... but wish it was extended out a little to make some moves (including finishers) have more impact.

Probably a little too used to WWE2K17 (my favourite of the 2K-era WWE titles from 14-onward). Bit weird having a lower roster count and even then not having alternate costumes/looks for various wrestlers and their different eras.
 
Still stuck in demo mode, done everything that you can think of and still nothing. Still silence on 2ks end refusing to acknowledge the issue. As scummy as EA are i prefer them over 2ks incompetent bullshit.

Unfortunately I've tried all the possible solutions and fixes several times for no outcome. I left my console on for 14 hrs straight to let it install and still nothing. Seen a number of people on reddit and Twitter are having the same issues with physical copies too so hopefully 2K see it and can address it.

The play before it installs concept is good but with this game it's horrible because there's no indication of installing happening, no progress bar or notification when it's done which is a big oversight when they suggest to not open the application while installing takes place.

Just infuriating me because from the gameplay i have played in the demo mode i was actually excited for a wrestling game again since the early Raw vs Smackdown games.

It is 2k sports. I remember the last NBA 2k I bought took 2 days before it was installed. Good to see they have fixed their shit. 🙄
 
Still a lot of bugs that need ironing out a really good edition of the game just wish i didnt buy it on release now give it a few months and this game will be top notch once the kinks are fixed
 
I hadn't had any issues up until yesterday, Universe mode kept crashing.

Easily the best wrestling game I have played, yes No Mercy and WCW vs NWO Revenge was awesome and fun for its time but graphically this is amazing, have had some great matches to.

Have not touched GM mode and not sure I will, played limited my rise which is fun enough and a bit of my faction but I lose interest pretty quickly with the whole card upgrading aspect.
 
Now 2k support are blaming my internet connection for interrupting the install and refusing to believe that the issue is possibly that their game is ****ing broken [emoji23].

Got it on Steam. Lot of fun and dug the streamlined gameplay. That being said, had enough bugs and a crash that would prefer to wait till they're fixed and when this is cheaper, so ended up getting a refund.
