Another thing I hate about the audience is they boo the judges every time they make a criticism regardless of whether it's constructive criticism or the judge going on an ego trip. It's like they're booing for the sake of booing.

If it's like other TV shows I have been in the audience for, there might be a guy producer or something standing at the front shaking his thumbs down for boos, and waving his hands up or putting his thumbs up for cheers.

If you end up in the bottom 2 long enough eventually you run out of luck - Jacqui in the first three weeks an example of this.

True. Hopefully next week...

I felt a bit sad seeing her there, wanted to hug and comfort her, and other unmentionable things.

Despite Christina having an ordinary couple of weeks prior to this week, I still believed Reece and Christina would have been the final 2, so to have them in the bottom 2 this week was a shock.

Sadly, the judges made the right call here. Reece has been consistently good all series, while Christina had recovered last night after a couple of shockers the previous couple of weeks (a bit like how YMS left the show).

So now we're down to the final 5 (of which Guy has 3). Does Guy have the three best singers in comp - absolutely not. But he has the category that gets the most votes. I really hope the final 3 consists of Reece, Andrew and Three Wishez so that it doesn't become a teenage girl wank fest (if it already isn't).

Only good thing that comes out of Christina leaving is that Mel can shut up about her being such a good coach. She isn't even a real singer ffs.

Can not believe Jonny is still in. Good on him for sticking to his strengths which is get the guns out and hope the little girls vote. Can't see him getting far.

From all reports he is by far the hardest worker too. Shame he doesn't have the talent.

It's a worry that Reece is there now though, it shows the voters haven't taken to him as much as the others (unless they're rigging it, I strongly doubt it).

I don't think voters really care too much for the performance on the night they will vote for their favourite based on everything they've seen.

The vote distribution will change with each knockout though as those who voted for the knocked out one might vote again for another. Perhaps Christina's fans will now vote for Reece say?

What a disgraceful publicity stunt. This brings back memories of when Ricki-Lee left series two of Australian Idol when it was the Final Eight.

The show loses all credibility for mine now. Since when should a public vote decide who gets through? Sort of defeats the purpose when someone can vote 2000 times. I once voted seventeen times for Casey Donovon to beat Anthony Callea in the Final of Australian Idol. It only charged me 55 cents to do so. I guess my prepaid provider had to fork out the other $8.80 worth of votes, because I only had 60 cents worth of credit left and I basically had unlimited messages for a few minutes before my account registered that I had run out of credit.

I'm guessing the same thing happens to others. No other logical reason to explain how a thirteen-year-old girl can continue to afford voting for Johnny.

Based on that it isn't just the show that has lost all credibility. Not that it had any to begin with.
