He goes alright, has had a lot if injuries. Not sure he comes in to the 22 but would be competing with guys like Clancee, Sutcliffe & Tendai for a back flank/wing type role.

Don't think he has the defensive aspects to play under Lyon. Lacks physicality IMO and often injured.

I used to semi-follow hawthorn until Crawfs retired. I never rated him and think he would not fit well at Freo.

Free to a good home. He has all the talent but can't get on the park. Would be an inspired pick up if you pull it off but with his history with injuries I highly doubt it could happen.

He is an upgrade on all those players

Unfortunatly while those blokes will be in the WAFL trying to get that 22nd spot working their ass off Ellis will be in rehab working on a torn Calf or a broken leg.

I would be happy for him to get a minimum year deal as a gamble, cant see anyone really chasing him. You might spook him and he'll do another hammy

Underselling him a tad, when firing he's a damn good player. That's just the problem though, we'd probably only get 10 games out of him judging by his track record.

I see Freo are already getting tied to almost every available player, the benefits of finishing second I suppose.

He was a gun, but he was crippled by injuries. He could be an inspired pickup, but my gut says no. For those who don't remember him i reckon he was a good ball winner with an accurate, but not penetrating left foot kick. He was tough, but not physically imposing, maybe similar to Dal Santo, but with a shorter kick & a bit more inside. Unfortunately, he will probably be remembered for his injuries. Anybody who knows better please correct me

We'll trade week radio is still probably just as good a source as anywhere seeing as they are being paid for it.

Don't you guys remember him falling over in the goal square in the Subiaco final in 1st quarter and sitting out the rest of the game. Handy and experienced player but body isn't up to it.
