Well.. my computer has been out of control lately and to cut a very long story shot Ive had to re-format basically.

What happens now is that some of my folders writing (names of the file etc..) are blue istead of being the standard black. Most of those files do NOT work.

Its a bit hard to explain but if anyone can work it out by that please help.

If anyone needs more detail in order to help me just ask.

Have you actually reformated your PC yet?

If you could do a screen dump of the blue colour bit and send it here.

Are all the folers in the drive blue? If they are and the Drive is blue, it's XP's default way of telling you it is an NTFS formatted drive.

If it's folders it's usually to signal compressed folders IIRC.
 
That started happening (i.e. file names turning blue) on my pc around three months ago. Unlike in your situation, the files still work. Buggered if I know what it is.
