Netflix Original.
I don't think its a Netflix show considering it aired on Lifetime in the US. It is available on Netflix in Aus though

I enjoyed it although there were a couple of episodes in the middle that were a bit of a tough slog and it took me until almost the end of the season for me to really warm to Beck. Also the John Stamos story line was really weird

On another note, I've read a couple of interesting articles lately, that kind of apply to the main character of this show.

They talk about "The Nice Guy"; the character in films that feels entitled to a woman because they are kind to them. The one that manipulates because they see it as romantic, and lashes out when they don't get their way.

It's quite interesting, if anybody is interested in reading them:

Binged this in a few days which I don't often do. Nicely f***ed up from the outset which I appreciated. I enjoyed Beck's character with how much of a mess she was. Clever writing.

Anyone recommend any other series on Netflix I can chew up? I was enjoying Sabrina but kinda got over it halfway through.

Bad Blood is pretty good.

Like Sopranos.

I wasn’t as ‘woo-hoo’ about this show as some of you. Joe and his monologues were insufferable at times. The smug tone...

Was good, but not great.
I don't think it was amazing either (good but not great), but I think that was kind of the point of his voiceovers.

On the surface, he presents himself as a kind, sweet hero, but only the audience are exposed to his actual personality.

I didn't find him likeable at all, although a lot of other people I've spoken to seem to, for some bizarre reason.

He was 100% a wolf in sheep's clothing, and at no point did I want him to "win".

He was a sexual predator, sociopath, murderer and all whilst viewing himself as the hero of the story.

The self delusion is what I found interesting, having seen it in real life. It's terrifying.

I largely felt the same about him, but we're in the minority and also didn't see what (at least one of) the show's producers wanted you to see. Based off the below clip, I'm pretty sure her intention was to have the audience love Joe despite his evilness as a way to show her thesis that "we" still "love evil white males". From what I remember of what she says in this promo piece she believes that You is a critique of modern society, the games young people play when dating and something about the "male gaze"

He was meant to come across as smug, though.

Ok, fair point. In that case I disliked home from the get go, and it was only by making Peach an even less likeable character that gave him any redeeming qualities at all...

After the first couple episodes I though this show should be called The Invisible Man or when I wear a baseball cap no one can recognise me. Its well done like a Mr Robot/13 Reasons Why hybrid. Penn Badgely is very good in this.
