You can replace "non-Swans fans" with "Bulldog grudge-holding/haters" if you like.

And you can tell them by the way they start their sentences. It goes like "I'm a neutral who as a matter of fact was barracking for the Dogs that day BUT...."
What a weird take by you. Seriously you had one of the most aligned set of Vic supporters out there as no one really ever hated the Dogs. Everyone knows a supporter who’d done it tough and wanted them to break the drought. But jeez you sound ridiculous suggesting anyone who was going for the Dogs but can recognise that you had the rub of the green with decisions is a “hater”.

Weightman is a 5'9 version of fritsch with half the runs on the board and triple the staging.

Hahaha

Didn’t realise Cody made the decisions out there.

There were two dicey ones, when Cody was accidentally hit in the head by Draper and when he was pushed over the boundary. Wouldn’t have bothered me if the ump called play on, especially the boundary one. Did Cody stage for either??? Go on… tell me he did!!! The kid didn’t flinch.

Took the free and was good enough to kick it. You’re blindly pandering to the BS narrative.

correct. weightman can be a diving dog for as long as he wants but at the end of the day the umpires need to be better and probably start bringing in suspensions for obvious staging. Thats the only way to end it.

I also love how footy people criticize soccer players for diving then defend this garbage.

yeah. but why is he even falling back. i thought he had a good vertical leap? its coz he goes into the contest looking for the free.
It's the other way around, he was grappled early in the contest so he couldn't get a leap off, in that shot he's just shaken the hold, which caused Gleeson to lose balance and he's flailing his arms like he's done nothing wrong which just caused further interference after Weightman falls backwards trying to mark.

TBF I get it from Essendon supporters.

Weightman's antics are disgusting. I dislike how Joel Selwood, Luke Shuey and Lindsay Thomas play footy but at least there is some element of trying to break a tackle there.

I don't get that from Weightman at all. The guy's only intent are getting free kicks. I don't think I've ever seen an AFL player that manipulates the game as much as him. Example: the guy literally leaned backwards into Merrett today just for the sole purpose of a free kick. Who the fu** leans backwards anyway? I have never ever seen anyone try to get a free like that ever.

Learnt from the best. The guy who put it on the map.

It's all a matter of how much of a hindrance it was. Because I think all other players on the ground keep their feet in this instance. In fact I think most players in the afl use their core and hold their ground in order to try and actually mark the ball. But only weightman falls back with ease.

Did Oliver have core strength in 2017 and 2018 or only build it up recently?

I'm not sure a second year player who has had limited gym access due to the pandemic has as strong a core as a seasoned AFL player.

Don’t drive the narrative away from the kid purely out there to win free kicks. His insatiable desire to run, tackle, smother and will himself onto contests is secondary. Kids a jet.

No different to Selwood mate. When you become as recidivist and continue to stage for frees that it becomes a staple of your game then a players positive traits get tainted for good. Like when Selwood retires, he will be remembered as one of the worst stagers in the game. Weightman could've potentially already done irreversible damage to his reputation which is a shame because he is actually a decent player when you take out all of his milking.
