Yeah, good idea. Do lineups for different styles/genres.

Have done my heavy duty lineup. Here's my progressive one:

Vox/rhythm guitar: Mikael Akerfeldt
Guitar: John Petrucci
Bass/keys: Geddy Lee
Drums: Virgil Donati

And Rock:

Vox: Chris Cornell (in his vocal heyday)
Guitar: Eddie Van Halen
Drums: Lucius Borich
Bass: Duff McAgen
Keys: Jon Lord

If thats Kevin Borichs lad, I have seen him play at the Semaphore Workers Club in Adelaide and he is a very good drummer. Awesome talent!!

Was that with his amzing band Cog?

No. The SWC is a blues club on the foreshore of the Le Fevre Pennisula. He was playing with the Kevin Borich Express and also jamming with Hoy Hoy.

Pardon my ignorance, I didn't know he was in Cog.

Some people might say he IS Cog. Not me, though. They're my favourite Aussie band...

Not so much my dream band (they would sound shocking together) but my favourite musicians on each instrument

Vocals - Bono
Guitar - Edge or Jeff martin (who could also sing)
Guitar - Would be John Butler but i dont think his style would suit...um, Chris Cheney
Bass - Flea
Keyboard - Guy from Wolfmother
Drums - Larry Mullen Jnr or Michael Barker

Neil Finn would be a good songwriter.

Singer - That guy from WASP, whats his name?

Lead Guitar - James Hetfield (Backup Vocals)

2nd Guitar - Angus Young

3rd Geeetar - Dave Mustaine (Backup Vocals take 2)

Bass - Cliff Burton

Drums - Dave Lombardo / Nathan Jordison

Yes, I know Hetfield is only 2nd guitar for 'tallica, but I think he is much better than Kirk Hammett, and it was a very tough decision to put him ahead of Young and Mustaine, they are superior Axemen.

I absoulutely love that lead singer form Wasps' voice. it is spectacular :thumbsu:

There is no odubt Cliff Burton was a great Bassist

I couldn't split up Dave Lombardo and The guy in the mask, Joey.

Okay, take 2.

Vocals: Matt Heafy (2nd Guitar)

Lead Guitar: James Hetfield

Bass: Cliff Burton/Rob Trujillo (okay, I love Metallica :p)

Drums: Travis Smith

Speciallist Head Banger: Corey Beaulieu :p

Wow. A band made up of the best of Metallica, and the best of Trivium :D

Lead Vocals: Amy Lee
Vocals and 2nd Guitarest: James Hetfield
Lead Guitarest: Slash
Bass: Nikki Sixx
Drums: Lars Ulrich

That would be my dream band!
That would be awesome!

Excpet maybe LArs ULrich, he is much improved, but we will have to see on this new album, on the song St Anger, and live, his new double bassing is wicked, I just hope he puts all his critics to silence! (a bit late though :p)

When is the new Metallica album out?

Vocals: Corey Taylor
Lead Guitar: Marty Friedman
Guitar: Corey Beaulieu
Bass: Duff Mckagan
Drums: Joey Jordison

Songwriting would come from within the band because no other person can write music for how the band feels or how they gel and sound when they play together.
