Time to forget about the horror match against Adelaide & look forward to the rest of the season :o

What are your three wishes for our club over the remainder of the 09 season??

mine are

1. Chopper to play at least 3-4 games. I think we have really missed Mayne this year & I'm dying to see him mix it with our other young guns

2. For all members of the dumb arse brigade to be given the boot. Also would like to see a few senior members dropped to the WAFL (ala Mundy) after a shit performance. Hopefully we can get a few of the injured senior players back so this can happen.

3. No more injuries!!

1. No PP for West Coast
2. No PP for Melbourne
3. Waive Ryan Murphy's contract at the end of the year
5. Clancee gets elevated at the end of the year
6. Des DOESNT get a 2 year contract
7. Tom Scully
8. 2nd Round PP
9. Brett Peake traded for 3rd rounder
10. David Mundy traded for a 2nd rounder
11. Foster to show something
12. Drum to have 4 more games
13. Campbell to have 4 more games
14. Dean Laidley as Development Officer or Opposition Analysis Coach
15. We consider a couple more mature-age WAFL guys as rookies (Wolfendon, Richardson)

Been thinking about this. Is there anyway we can set him up in some random hotel room surrounded by hookers, meth, faeces and a shitload of hard liquor, thereby breaching his contract and making it void?

All we need is a picture of him in the middle of it all (standing there being a fairy) and we can ping him for bringing the game into disrepute!!!!!

Beautiful

yep.... spot on

1. Firstly, I want to avoid the wooden spoon. I know that high draft picks are valuable but for me the spoon is just something I think we need to avoid for group morale.

2. Secondly, I am very keen for the club to focus squarely on the draft with whatever picks we end up with. 2 key areas I would look at in the draft are key position players and some more speed.

3. Finally, I hope that Harvey is given the club administration and board's ongoing full support. He has made tough calls that have seen our list bascially undergo a complete revamp for the first time in our history.

As I watched the Adelaide Debacle, the one thing that stood out was our inability to tackle and team tackle.

We consistently let streams of runners go by - we were left in the position where as there were many options to cover a lot of our players were simply caught standing and watching. We didn't block runners, we also didn't box and hold opponents.

I have not checked the stats but my guess is the tackle count would be about even - if not favouring Adelaide, the amount of ball they had ...you would expect us to have laid more tackles. Simply our pressure was the most ineffective element of our game.

I am a simple man -
* I'd just really like us to work on that pressure element of the game
* I'd like us to win the centre clerances
* No more serious injuries so we can have an uninterrupted pre-season
* I'd like the selectors to know who was getting cut without a shadow of a doubt by round 22

Agree, agree, agree

1. Hinkley to play all remaining games.

2. Drum to play the majority of the remaining games. You can't get a decent trade for a guy who doesn't play.

3. Hall and van Berlo to both debut. I don't care how many games they get, I just want us to get the record for most debutants in a season.

Drum I believe should be given one last chance as should Campbell.

Murphy to be offloading for anything we can get, even if its draft picks we won't use.

Pavlich to be rested untill fully fit.

Headland given a 1 year contact and no more.

Schammer given more time and respect, at least the guy busts his guts week in week out.

We are in the box seat right now, just need Melbourne and the Eagles to win 2 and 1 more for the season. He's the midfield superstar to build the team around, keep losing boys!

Myth

I wish Gerard Neesham was never appointed as the first coach.
( He ****ed it from the start, he started the wheel of mediocraty rolling)

I wish Fremantle oval was big enough to host 40,000 fans.

I wish Damian Drum wasnt born Damian Drum

I wish that Leigh Matthews favourite song before brisbanes dynasty was "Go West" by the village people.

I wish Chris Connelly was a paedophile and only liked recruiting innocent inexperienced little boys.

I wish Gerard Neesham was never appointed as the first coach.
( He ****ed it from the start, he started the wheel of mediocraty rolling)

There was only two applicants for the Freo job in 1994. Gerard Neesham and Ken Judge. No one else in Australia wanted the gig. No money, no training facilities, no recruiting people, no Back up from the WAFC, the worst entry conditions of any team entering the AFL, I’m fluked if I know why Gerard Neesham wanted the job.

1) winning a home game. starting to miss that. Against the Eagles would do just fine.

2) rich somehow not winning the rising star/hill placing at least.

3) hinkley showing something. One person in particular on here talks him up like the 2nd coming/I've seen nothing from him & tend to bag him out. Would love to be proven wrong.

4) someone we've continued to criticise but still had to pick in the side due to lack of depth suprising us all with their football ability/heart.

5) 100% backing of Mark Harvey & the rebuild by all. Theres no short term fix on offer.

6) Sandilands all australian. he deserves it/should get it.

I hope for one more win against the Mob down the road.
Keep playing the kids. Would love to see chopper get a game or 2 before round 22. Van Berlo, Hall etc should only play if there WAFL form is good enough. No point playing them if they are completely going to be outta there depth (mind you I guess Murphy, Gilmore and Peake have played lately!)
Tom Scully good call
And lastly if it gets to round 22 and % is separating us, Melbourme, WCE, Rich etc from the wooden spoon and pick 1 I suggest:
- Play Murphy, Gilmore, Peake, Head (yes Head) and also anyone on our list who is clearly not good enough. This way we will lose by 200 points and be guaranteed pick1
Not much to ask is it?

I can give you 3 out of the 4, the last one will cost you extra.

I wish for:
1) Freo to get Pick #1 and a PP in the draft.

2) The other teams not to get a PP at all. (i.e. Melbourne, West Coast, Richmond and NMelbourne to win 5 games.)

3) Our senior players show to some effort for the rest of the season and not turnover the ball so easily.

4) Freo to finish in the top 8 in 2010.

5) Mundy to be traded for a draft pick at the end of this year.

6) Better seats in Subi Oval... I'm not v.tall and I feel like a sardine!

  • O'Brien to shake his injuries and have a real chance at showing us his mad skillz...
  • regardless of what number our picks end up as or how many we have, we manage to have another great draft and select some solid talented and skilled players for our club
  • To address the uniform issue and play in Purple/White home and White/Purple clash...
  • Select a decent club anthem
  • Some multi-millionaire/billionaire (me hopefully :)) buys the club and builds our own stadium, thereby controlling our own destiny and free from the WAFC
  • Premierships, lots of them
