Had a looooong appointment with my accountant this afternoon.

God damn I wish I too could be an accountant, I'm buggared if I know how they cope with that much excitement in the one day.

and if anyone hears a rumour that it was so exciting at the accountants, that I fell asleep, I categorically deny it.

Had a long day at work. Found out I didn't get the manager's position I applied for. Not too worried as some of the people in my office are right pains in the rectum. After work bought some CDs (Ramones, Blue Oyster Cult, Deep Purple) and a video (On the Buses film). Bloke at the video shop recognised me from playing bass (aww shucks). Came home, cooked dinner (lovely kebabchivi), now listening to the Monkees (courtesy of my better half). Friggin hot as inside it must still be over 30 degrees and not likely to get any cooler tonight.

My Friday.........

Well still recovering from my trip to the Dentist the day before my mouth was very sore indeed and what did I end up doing??? READING STORIES TO THE KIDS. Got a talking to from a co-worker for getting a lil cranky about it.........had an argument with a leaving staff member about whether we take the kids outside. I said we didn't on hot days........after getting a second opinion from management she saw my side.

Thankfully got out of the room for 2 hours of planning with the co-worker I'd had the talking to with.......it was all good. Meanwhile I had to go back into the room and all hell had broken loose and I kid you not. Lost half an hour planning time trying to get things back in order.......

Lunchtime was a pisser, talked with the girls about hot fathers, TV shows (our former-famous co-worker's name came up a few times) and yeah was happy I could eat without pain YAY.

Afternoon was hellish, SO much attitude from leaving co-worker. Found out that new assistant is starting this week, very happy coz she is a wonder. Prepared a million things for next week, brought a ton of things home to do over the weekend, lists of routines and stuff to help the new staff, the birthday chart (making 12 cars) and the bed plan for where the kids are going to sleep. Had a chat with management about my plans and they are very happy with me, discussed my upcoming root canal with one of them too. Boring but informative lol.

In short, I worked my arse off, but yeah growing in confidence every day I am left in charge of that toddler room.

Oh yeah and forgot to mention, I had to say goodbye to a couple of kids who are leaving for kindergarten. Including one special little boy who turned our room upside down when he first arrived, but has come along SO far in the last few months and yeah I was his chosen person. He has a learning difficulty and is about to be assessed, and Mum has promised to let us know the outcome. But yeah always hard saying goodbye and will have to do it a whole lot more this week.
