Post your realistic 2007 draft outcome (Wish List)

Mine is

Pick 2 > Richmond
Cale Morton (Wing / HBF) - 18 January 1990, 192cm 75kg. WA/Claremont

(P.P) Pick 18 > Richmond
Scott Simpson (Key Fwd) - 19 October 1989, 194cm 91kg. Vic Metro/Dandenong/Mt Eliza

Pick 51 > Richmond
Dan McKenna (Key Def) - 29 June 1989, 194cm 82kg. Vic Country/Gippsland/Traralgon

Pick 67 > Richmond
Dawson Simpson - 17/02/1989, 207cm 100kg. Murray Bushrangers

Morton is my hope with maybe Selwood at 18. But the later picks are a lottery as it depends on who is left

As I'm no expert and have formed opinions base on the preachings of others in the drafts and trades board I'll give a selection of players I think would be alright with our picks:

Pick 2 - Cotchin/C.Morton/Masten.
The first 2 pick themselves based on the fact nearly every phantom draft I've seen has either of them at 2. Weaver is a wrap for Masten and from what I have read would be a handy addition to the midfield. Any of the 3 would be a fine start to the draft.

Pick 18 - Selwood/Pears/Gaertner/Bellchambers/Grimes
Pick best available or pick for need. Seen varying opinions on what should be done here with suggestions that we should pick another mid here. Suppose it depends on what might happen with Cousins. If we are going to get Cousins then I would hope the club takes a tall key defender like Gaertner or Pears or a ruckman like Bellchambers. If we are not going after Cousins then any of the mids would be fine preferrably one of the 2 I named.

Pick 51 - Dulic/Simpson/Sullivan/Otten/Smouha
Basically I would hope we take a tall here no matter what. Dulic Otten and Smouha are all tall key defender types judging by the profiles I've read. Grabbing one of these 3 to add to Thursfield, Polak & McGuane donw back would be a great way to finish off the draft. Simpson and Sullivan are both 200+cm ruckmen, taking one of them may allow us to play Patto at CHF instead of pinch hitting in the ruck.

Again let me just make it clear I'm no draft expert just basing my opinions on what I have read from the drafts board. However, if we were to land 3 of the players I have mentioned here I get the feeling most would be pretty happy.

Experts and Bigfooty lol Just kidding, Weaver and HBF are pretty good knowledge and well as few others on bigfooty.

But blind freddy can see richmonds need more KKPs as the current KKP stocks are quite average outside of the aging Richo.

We seems to recruit lazy and soft KKP forwards. Jack is good thou.

From Weaver's comments on Callan Ward (bottom aged 185 cm inside midfielder), I would be rapt if we got him at pick 18.

Pick 2 Cale Morton

Pick 18 Callan Ward

Pick 51 Ruckman/KPP

i go to school with Dan, he pl.ayed the majority or this season in the ruck and swapping at full foward, great hands and a handy 2nd or 3rd string ruck...would be worth it at pick 51 imo

Callan seems to be slipping under the radar on Bigfooty. From what i have read most of the more knowledgable posters seem to think he is a bolter for a top 10 pick.

Would love him or Rance at pick 18. If not either of them Pears.

#2> Richmond - Cale Morton - 192cm 75kgs - Claremont (Utility)
#18> Richmond-Jarrod Grant-191cm 77kgs-Dandenong Stingrays(Key Fwd)
#51 >Richmond-Dan McKenna-194cm-82kgs-Gippsland Power (Key Back)
#67 > Richmond-Joel Smouha 196cm 80kg - Mt. Gravatt (Ruck

like ive said on other threads with what we should do with our picks y does every1 want midfielders. we have already got enough of them and may even get cousins in the psd. Then if we get them then some people say y didnt we draft more talls. We need to use all of those picks on kpp's and rucks. Particularly given the fact we have lost about half of our talls through delistings and retirements and look exposed in the back half if we get injuries to key players and in the forward line. particularly with Richo getting older we need to try to find someone who can take over his place because hughes and schulz are still unproven. While there are also question marks about whether jack can play in a key post. Although i for one think he can. So with pick 2 i reckon cale morton, pick 18 pears or tarrant and 51 we go after a ruckman

Fair result it is .. we also get two Pears, or should I say, a pair?

Why would you d***heads want tarrant? name 1 brother who has been anygood apart from the Selwoods & Krakouers

Hope we pick up Gaetner pick 18 if avalible. Tall atheletic and raw. Sounds like he could be the steal of the draft with any luck.

As I have already stated on another thread:

Pick 2. Cotchin or Morton is who I think we'll pick. The more I think about it, I would like Masten as he's an inside mid, ready to go from Round 1 next year.

Pick 18. Tom Bellchambers. Ruckman from Tasmania. If he is still available at this pick, we should not overlook him.

Oick 51. Tom Rockliff, Murray Bushrangers. Bottom age midfielder with excellent skills who will not be under the radar next year. Appears a likely top pick in 2008 draft.

Pick 67. Save for the PSD.

Don't delist any further players this year. Next years draft is looking better depth wise than this year, make the delistings when the chances are higher of getting better quality young players.

maybe because we have **** all talls and need all the half decent big blokes we can get

schulz and hughes have massive question marks and i feel someone like robbie will give them more of a kick up the arse then kingsley could ever do

if gourdis slips id have him at 18 but i doubt it, tarrant is the next best imo

Tayte Pears>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>etc. >Tarrant

I'd rather take a big backman in pears than a spud big forward in Tarrant. He'd be our next Schulz.

Pick 18. Tom Bellchambers. Ruckman from Tasmania. If he is still available at this pick, we should not overlook him.

Now we've picked Gus as a senior player I reckon we'll just simply rookie another ruckman.
