Phil is easily the best golfer at making the extraordinary an art

Have you seen the reverse shot where he is facing opposite the flag and hits the ball over and behind him? Brilliant

Got a link to it?
Sounds familiar

Second to go next Saturday. I think that is good for him, can't obsess about anyone else...just have to post a number and see if it holds up. :)

Add to that he has the best flop shot in the game!

Need to youtube Phil Michelson best shots and flop shots...

Master of shots and great escapes

Yes he is a great one to learn from. There have been times when we are on course and nobody behind us that Alex tries to hit those flop shots like Phil.

It's fun to watch

Hardest is a flop shot over a bunker with little green to play with... but fun to execute of it comes off. Need confidence, like a sand shot, don't hold back or you'll fluff it

Best thing that jnr practices these shots with no pressure as you mention. To be a kid again and enjoy learning the game......

Reasonable metro / burb courses in Melbourne that are reasonably priced and not a bad track?

Suggestions would be great :)

Define reasonably priced?

Juniors practice, 80% shortgame and have fun with it.
Try crazy stuff
Gotta learn club to ball control

Scoring is all about the shortgame

ill go anywhere and pay up to $50 for an 18.

Its a great question cause i had friends from nsw come down and i told them in the chance i didnt have time to take them to The National or Peninsula-Kingswood they'd have to find a public course to play. Same query, metro course. I could only think of albert park!

gardiners run a little far though for a metro course :)

keysborough is private though, although i dont really rate it.

if iDon can go further out, hit the dunes, moonah links and st andrews beach!

Have a place in Frankston I can utilise so those further down courses might be the go soon.

St Andrews and the Dunes are two I have been wanting to play for a while.

st andrews is a hard course and up and down. you must play there! great experience. tho saturday morning we (national) have i think 4 slots reserved.

Had the day off work today and got down to the course with some mates. Shot a pb of 46 on 9 holes and took the honour. First ever green in 1 on a par 4 which I birdied. Smoked some drives, but chipping let me down today. Still rapt as I beat my previous best by 3 shots.

Nothing better than driving a Par 4, well done.
