my point is, they wanted to play golf and conduct themselves in the area. they wanted to.

some people want to play golf. others want to fish. right now. such persons may carry the covids, unbeknownst. interesting.

There really is no justification to maintain this ban, when all other states are free to play under certain conditions.

I thought it carried weight? Clubs and competitions surely couldn't run if the advice of the governing body was to close right?

The ones who ive seen and heard give GA credence, and their recommendations, are those who want courses open again

Nope - GA issued a recommendation on 30 March advising all golf clubs to close. Within a week courses were open in states all over the country (not Vic obviously).

Of course but surely given they hold no authority on the matter all they are doing is confusing people.

Twitter was awash the other day with Vic golfers thinking they were potentially ok to play again. They can't. There's a legal directive in place that precludes this.

In VIC? Sneak on you'd assume? There are a few local I'm curious to drive by as they are pretty easy to sneak on to and I reckon people would be.

That's my guess, May 11th is the next milestone date in VIC and all signs point to some easing of restrictions, this is one that carries extremely minimal risk but a lot of benefits.
