Carts but walked most holes.

Wanted to walk but others in group wanted carts coz of rain

Have never carted the old. Always walked. After the first four it’s a pleasant stroll.

Though tomorrow I prob will. Shouldn’t be playing due to injury. And it’s stroke [emoji33]

What's the rating off of the blacks? Par 76?
Dunno,

But old school slope style i had it at 155ish yesterday

Off the blacks some of the tee shots/carries over scrub etc are daunting.
Like 180 carry into a Hurricane just to find the fairway yesterday

Loved it.
Par 3s in the wind yesterday were so much fun.
Like 3 club different
Off the blacks

4th was about 170m with a gale - 8iron (total water carry shot)
7th was 138m into a cross gale, flushed a drawing 7iron held into the breeze,
13th 198m breeze hard off the left, tried to hold a 5wood up against the breeze think the wind donated it to some abyss off to the right, just ugly
16th, 170m blind teeshot, pin ticked up behind some quarry (bunker), hit a beautiful drawing 5iron to 12ft. (Normally hit 5iron 170m)

Was amazing but off the blacks anything slightly wayward off the tee was gone

Certainly was

Now planning a set at National

Friday
Saturday
Sunday

All 3 courses

Might need some more golf balls

Double the double header (36 with no carts). It’s character building [emoji1474]
Done that many times. One time too lazy to sunscreen. Bad move.

Hmmm,

Yes I'd be into that

Back to back 36ers

Into the wind on many many holes reaching the fairway was a battle wasn’t it?!
4th from the top hitting down over water....with the breeze bloody hard to keep the ball on the green. Sometimes I’m better off throwing the ball into the lake and heading straight to the drop zone haha

7th dangerous par 3. Huge green left to right but the wind off bass strait pushes everything to the trees.

My playing partner struggled on many holes hes off 17.
4th wasn't too bad as I hit a very high ball which held
Wasn't any tee/carry I struggled on tbh when I hit em straight

Favourite hole...hmmm

10th - Par 5 just a brilliant par 5
12th - so many choices so many hazards

Both holes playing into the double green are exceptional.

What did you think of the 8th?

The short par 5
Hit driver with a gentle fade,
5wood to just off front. (Didnt draw into breeze as I'd hoped)
Chip
2 putts from 10ft
Tricky green
Stunning views

2 off the blacks is great too. View wise.

All this time I’ve never stood on the blacks of some holes. Just reinforced how appreciative one must be of such vista. Not so of the wind. Swear it’s getting windier each year

Absolutely.
Think with the old, with false fronts on fairways, it is intimidating. Not making the fairway can be domoralising, but **** it.
Gunamatta is the same. Amazing the first youre hitting from effectively the putting green.

Moonah already long becomes wtf.

At PK there's no plates, so the boys can put the back markers (blue) in the dunnies.

Moonah 16-18 from the blacks into the prevailing wind is something else.

Anybody who says the Gunna is too easy never play off the blacks and never check their score card.

11 off the blacks was my best drive,

Had a 61m lob wedge to the centre/front pin,
Smoked the drive over the Ridge.

Solid 2 putt par ....
