9 holes this morning

2 doubles
1 birdie
1 bogey
5 pars

Have found my groove with my 2iron- hitting it 225-235m with a very controlled draw

Was bloody freezing

Played Hamersley public yesterday. Lovely course but it was a horrible experience. The course was too packed. Waited 25 minutes to tee off, only to be held up by a group of 4 plus 2 of their girlfriends dropping mulligans nearly every tee shot. But what was really annoying is there was no urgency in their play. 5 practice swings, top it 10 metres, stand there admiring their shots, dordle to their ball, rinse and repeat. Two others we played with were the same. Mulligan after mulligan, conveniently forgotten when the scores were written down. One hole this bloke lost 3 balls off the tee plus add a shank and a top on the fairway “yep that’s a 5 for me”…

3 and a half hours to do the front 9. Got to the 16th par 3 with 11 people, no less, waiting at the tee box for a single player wearing sneans and a Bryson hat to finish off for quintuple bogey. Never again. We walked off. I’m getting more and more convinced that 90% of golfers don’t play to the actual rules and make up their scores as they please too.

And it was a Thursday ffs - doesn’t anyone work anymore?!

Pretty sure that's why God invented private courses.

id say for them its a social aspect with hit it as hard as you can the mantra. group of 4 plus 2 girlfriends sums it up.

Far out...tough day for me but enjoyable all the same. Worse start to a round of golf for a long time.....14 over after 5 holes🤦‍♂️. Putting was horrendous allowing for too much break and my speed control was very poor.

Kid beat me by 1 (with a total miff he did not count and a gimme he took after I said it was no gimme!!!!). 23 over 95.

3 birdies after that horrendous start and my bunker play was very good (both fairways and greenside bunkers) was my highlights. Fun day...hard but very good track.

Played last friday and scored 37 points. Putted well chipped well and just couldn't put a foot wrong really other than some wayward tee shots however would recover well. Decided to take a few mates out with me yesterday and the brother to play comp. 7 wipes. Finished on 18 points. 7 wipes. I'll say it again. 7 wipes. Suffered from a severe case of the yips please pray for me all
