Just use the lot. Mizuno is what I use in the irons with a Titleist 2 iron. t***ies are the best clubs but a full set will set you back about $3500. My Mizuno irons from 4 iron to lob wedge (10 irons in total) cost me $1700. It was another $750 for the Taylor Made Burner 2.0 driver ($270), Callaway XHot 3 wood ($230) and Ping putter ($200).
Edit: my Titleist 2 iron cost me $260. All the irons and the 3 wood have 5.5 medium stiff Project X shafts.

unable to use the lot as they do not suit my game. furthermore, recently acquired set of Pings.

I'm too stubborn to let a crook shoulder stop me from playing so I stupidly took to the course yesterday for a hit. First tee shot was a beauty straight down the middle to the corner of the dog leg. Boy did it hurt though. That was the story of my day though, it seemed like all my good shots were the ones that stung my shoulder the most haha.

Ended up with 29 points which all things considered I'm pretty happy with.

Hopefully it pisses down with rain the next few weekends to force me to have a break - I can't bare to sit at home on a Saturday otherwise haha.

Have just booked me and a mate a round at Flinders and St Andrews for a couple of weeks time. Genuinely excited

Just got back from a trip down that way a couple of weeks ago.
St Andrews was awesome - have never had more fun playing in woeful weather!
Gee it's long from the back... Good luck indeed.

We also played the Dunes - another awesome track! Golfing heaven down there!

I've fixed the giant slice I had developed with my driver.

In the end it was just a matter of picturing a clock on the ball and trying to hit it at 4 o'clock. Hitting a lot more fairways.

do you have to adjust for daylight savings?

so you're looking down at the clock face. is the clock "upside down", right way up, or perhaps say 8 oclock directly in line with your club shaft?

do you have to adjust for daylight savings?

curtains and cows. he cant

So the back of the ball is 3 o'clock at address. I just want to feel like I'm making contact at 4. Whether or not I'm doing that I don't know but I must swing differently. I assume before I was swinging at 2 o'clock from out to in.

Yes I'm a stat nerd.

899th round today at my course of choice, in the previous 898 I've broken 40 on a nine a total of 17 times (par 73).

Did it twice today.

AGU handicap at the start of December was 14.3 (17) now 9.2 (11) :thumbsu:

I have got my handicap down to 8.6 with some unspectacular but solid winter golf (nothing over 34 points/ high DSR's)

I have a strong suspicion that I am approaching the limit of my talent.

Do you guys get lessons or just try to concur it on your own?

ive had plenty of lessons and changed my swing a few times. after becoming consistent the key is to have a lesson focusing on one aspect of the game - putting, chipping, driving, packing clubs, dress code. etc.

Fwiw I've never had a lesson (I'm off 7) but only get to play on average 15 times a year

campaigner.

Par comp today, great day for golf but course very wet given recent rains. First time in 3 months I've played to my handicap (in terms of being able to add to golflink anyway). Given the conditions I was absolutely rapt, especially given my shoulder at the moment. Learnt a lot last week in terms of being able to play through the pain. Hit a lot of fairways and just played a lot smarter with club selection. Still too many three putts though.

Played Secret Harbour Golf Links on the weekend and absolutely loved the course - my favourite so far.

I'm a pretty rubbish golfer highlighted by this round being my PB of 4 x Par's in a round, with a closest to the pin on a Par 3. Was agonizingly close to nailing two birdies but just missed out - the wait continues.

Had a quick warm up on the range but still struggled through the front 9, the back 9 was much much better. The half time beers may have helped...

Man it is tough to score when your iron play is horrific. Hit plenty of fairways and my putting was great...but my irons were absolutely terrible. Did not strike one all day.
