You know it's your weekend when you can double the last and still win by one.

He played well this weekend. Instead of playing next weekend, we are going to an indoor waterpark. Taking odds on if I clog up a tube trying to slide down it. :)

Took a mate to Peninsula-Kingswood (south course) yesterday before we close it to guests. Just mucking around, we hit a few balls each at times, putted from diff spots. Mentally counted score for the first hole (par 3.... bogey) then said **** it.

experienced fatigue in the final holes (prob cause hitting many balls) and the weather was warm.

Hi Golfers,

For anyone keen on the PGA tour and watches it most weeks:

if your interested in a tipping comp that begins this week have a look at

www.golftipcomp.com.au

Its a really cool format - one off payment and some big time prizes to be won

If you have any questions please feel free to post here on PM me directly.

I don't run it but have been a participant for the past 3 years (despite finishing 120th out of a 140 field last year it really is a bit of fun)

Cheers
Tox

Played Woodlands GF Eve. Very nice. They have done a superb job redoing all their greens and approaches. Only 2 to go now I think.

Superb variety of holes, not too long and the turfgrass to play from is firm and bouncy which accentuates the strategy. Great fun.

Has anyone played Sandhurst before? Curious to hear peoples thoughts.

have a friend who's a member there. he said its great, although he came from a now defunct course that's not great especially in winter.
a mate used to be there but left years ago to join national. said one of the courses is nice, the other is poo.

im interested to hear about it too

Played last Sunday at Hepburn Springs , and just plain sucked. Driving was crap, alternated between hitting the fairway and rough. Putting was atrocious, missed far too many short putts, was a prick of a day all in all.

It was first game in a month so sort of explains why i sucked, cannot expect to play once a month and hit a decent score, have had busy weekends, and now footy season is over, plan on at least to hit balls once a week, wether that is on a driving range or on course.

Have a golf trip at the end of the month at Tocumwal, first time playing there so not sure what the course is like, i would suspect it's a decent track, and would like to be hitting them reasonably well.

How about Gaff? Funny your cohorts wanted him hung drawn and quartered, now he be like "he the bestest!"

hahahahaha

I never wanted him to go, i had some inside info on why he was looking at moving and could understand why he wanted to come back, i actually found out Sun morning he was staying after all before it was confirmed for certain. i'm happy he changed his mind.

Toc is 36 holes.
Greens were cored about 4 weeks ago, they'll be superb.
Trees are big, actually trees are HUGE.
Not much rough along tree lines tho.

Its a pretty good track, both 18s

Sunshine. Light wind. Peninsula-Kingswood composite course.

As the north course just opened it was an eye opened for moi. Different speed greens on the north vs south, and no memory of norf course layout and positions for attack. Putting was interesting, slow on norf, quick as usual on souf.

A pathetic sub 10 points on the front 9 and felt sad. But back 9 exploded for 20. It was a fun day.

Hybrids off tees for all bar two holes (not par 3s). kept ball in play which is important.

9 holes around Wodonga this morning.

Never played it before.

Took 3 holes to warm up

Lipped out 5 putts

Finally feel like i remember how to swing the club.

Still cant chip 4 sh1t, so wristy it's embarrassing

consider hybrid bumping?

I know what the obvious answer to this is, but Wolf Creek or Cascata?

I am going to play all 3 at Pauite but may not have time for Wolf Creek and Cascata, might have to choose.

Todays round brought to you by The National Moonah course.

It just got windier as the day progressed. We got battered. A real grind.

Putting, shaved the hole many times, and overall putted well. Perhaps 2x3 putts. Missed two putts within 30cm which made me want to hurt someone afterwards.

A few wayward drives, and a lulzworthy 5w attempt after 2/3 playing partners stuffed their drives to a grand distance of idk maybe 50m (hitting from elevated tee box, sharp downhill to a path, and rough.

when the wind wasnt as bad (early) kept ball in play with hybrids. however down there you must be able to reach fairways into the wind or else. so driver you must.

Paradise Palms friday had 36 points, played really well despite my hangover

Mirage Saturday had 27 points, played like complete shit with my hangover

Sea Temple (Palmer Resort) this morning, yes I'll be taking my hangover!
