The National (long island course).
My mindset is atuned to dislike this course, which is probably the first problem, as i only played there because Peninsula tee times were unsuitable. A game of two halves. Front 9, 2 wipes and drove well. Back 9, 2 wipes but couldnt land the aggat on the fairway off the tee. Utter poo.

Cored greens did not help.

Nor did my general shitness

Playing this Sunday for the first time at Tirhatuan lakes ( Rowville ), no idea what to expect other than water everywhere going on the name.

Short, easy, 1000 people on the course at once

Take travellers

Queensland open on at the moment

Albury amateur Zac Murray leads (kid will win a major - he's that good)
On the other hand, how does someone qualify and shoot 30over ffs

With daylight savings and the warmer weather kicking in been getting right back in the swing of things. Hit balls every night this week.

My HC got down to 13.5 around March but haven't really played or put any decent scores in since. Back out to 14.1 now and all my decent scores are towards the bottom of my last 20 rounds on golflink meaning if I don't perform now it's going to drift out further.

I was always happy with the thought of being a bogey golfer off around 18 but I can't accept letting my HC slip back out now that I know i'm capable of better.

I posted this in a PM just over 6 hours ago. Since then I managed to get 4 more hours sleep.

“It’s just after 2:30am and I’ve only had 3hrs sleep tonight. I don’t care if I don’t adjust because my wife and I fly out of Denver, Colorado at about midday Tuesday AEDT (7pm Monday).
We did a little bit of shopping here Tuesday. My wife had/has a 3 day conference Wednesday to Friday. I played golf Wednesday at Park Hill Golf Club off the tough tees. Shot 83 off the stick on a Par 70 course. That’s to my handicap but lack of course familiarity and poor distance guides cost me from shooting well below 80.
I’m playing Arrowhead Golf Course today. It’s highly recommended.

On Saturday we’re going on a tour to the Rocky Mountains. I don’t like the cold but it snowed here Tuesday and it’s supposed to snow on Saturday in the Rockies. I hope so anyway.
Nothing planned Sunday as of yet. We thought about going to Mile High Stadium to see The Denver Broncos play The Texans. We’ll see as the seats are hard and I’ve got 16 odd hours of Cattle Class flying coming home.

I didn’t play Arrowhead unfortunately as it is closed due to snow on the course. It will be most likely closed again tomorrow as well.
I played Raccoon Creek Golf course. Nice and tough course with lots of water. I had a par on the last to keep me under 100. Shot 98 (Par 72). It was windy, freezing and I swung too hard at the ball.
I saw snow today up live for the first time ever!

Same. But not to your level. 14.9 now out to 19. WTF

Played Tirhatuan Lakes\Rowville Sunday, whilst not being a long course it was tight track, you needed to be reasonably straight. Luckilly for me i was on Sunday, i have started to get off the tee decent of late. Shot 87 off the stick with 32 putts, giving me the win for A grade in our club on the day, my chipping was a little bit off, but i was happy with my work from the tee.

I'm playing Port Fairy this coming Friday, really looking forward to that.

Pray for no wind at Port Fairy, and don't be too adventurous looking for balls - the snake population is rather friendly.

It will be one of the best courses you'll play - its amazing

Yeh i suspected the local snakes would be friendly, i don't plan to go to far off course, score isn't something i'm worried about, just being able to play on a cracking course is what i'm looking forward to.

Some of the views are breathtaking, depending on which tees you play off as to how hard the course is - sounds dumb but the back really do make a BIG BIG difference compared to the visitors, far more than the slope indicates

Anyone else follow No Laying Up? They make some incredible golf content.

Check out their 'Tourist Sauce' stuff on Youtube. They played a handful of sandbelt, tassie and NZ courses and now they're off to Scotland.

I just drove to work in a whiteout, I want you to know that Alex and I hate you all for the next 6 months ;)

Scratchy round at Peninsula-Kingswood on the newly opened Norf course. Stunning. Struggled to put two consistent shots together, famously shanking one from 98m out into thick shit. didnt know i could make a ball go sidfeways. lololol. first time played 6 of the holes, given 12 made up the composite of the last few weeks. Some great views of the city from up high.

Off to the National now.
